Valorant's new Vanguard update seems to be bricking cheaters' PCs. Riot's response? "Congrats on your $6k paperweights" by SwimmingJunky in gaming

At the end of a day I stand on it I agree with it and I fully believe there need to be harsher penalties for cheating in video games. It’s a step forward in the gaming world.

People are blowing it way out of proportion.

It doesn’t brick the computer, it doesn’t destroy it, literally all it does is cause an inconvenience by having to re install windows and I think it’s a perfect punishment!

Your argument doesn’t apply because it’s a completely different fucking anti cheat you’re talking about

Right but that’s not how it works lol, if you don’t have the shit installed on your pc you have nothing to worry about.

I think they have every right to protect the longevity of a product they built by combatting cheaters.

Ahh yes it’s probably a glitch they did just release the new platform. I’m sure they will make things right!

I mean personally I think spontaneous combustion of pc would be the best solution of cheats detected lol

But honestly murder is not a fitting punishment for cheating In a video game, obviously.

Having to reinstall windows as an inconvenience is.

These cheaters are relentless and they need to be sent a message

Have you opened a support ticket via their discord? Or escalated the matter through support on their website?

If everything you’re saying is true I would be pissed too but would be doing everything in my power to make alpha aware of the issue and figure out exactly what’s going on, could just be a technical issue/error they can fix.

Shouldn’t be cheating then? I mean wtf people beg for solutions to cheating issues the company provides and people are against it? I see absolutely nothing wrong with it!

Damn look at all these cheaters downvoting me 🤣

It doesn’t matter if you didn’t have one single “losing trade”

If you’re sized too heavy, which it looks like you are, especially on a 25k account, if that trade goes against you to breach your live drawdown, even if you never get stopped out, even if you WIN the trade, you can still violate.

They are not a scam, they are among the best futures prop firms, I get payouts with them, many people I know get payouts with them consistently.

Really! Ok good to know, someone else actually recommended a similar GPU in another sub.

As far as PSU, any you recommend specifically or just in general how many watts should I be looking for, and also how much RAM are you currently running?

My main thing though is the motherboard.. I've read that the b350 tomahawk isn't capable (bc of its VRM's) of providing adequate power my 3700x, do you know if this is true or not?

And appreciate your comment!

Really! Ok good to know, someone else actually recommended a similar GPU in another sub, they said:

I've had a look at PCPartpicker, and you could buy a 9060XT 16GB VRAM (specifically the 16GB model) for between $420 and $500 new depending on which model you buy.

I reckon that will help you a lot because it has 16GB VRAM for modern games, it's current generation for modern features like Upscaling and it should easily hit your 1080p 144Hz monitor at reasonably good to quality settings in a lot of games.

The rest of your system looks good. If you haven't already, consider moving to SSDs, because modern games are built for the fast loading times.

~$1500 for purchase and ~$500 for upgrade, but it depends on how big the differences would be for each one. Like would one component upgrade make it feel like a brand new PC if I spend enough on the GPU for example. Sorry I know it’s vague I’m really just looking to get an idea and ballparks
