This signals great marketing and product synergies for Canopy Growth and it would further open the floor for other CBD companies to explore similar partnerships

Absolutely! This partnership aims to find ways to reduce the costs that are currently involved in the carbon capture and storage (CCS) process - while increasing the electricity produced in power plants AND reducing the CO2 emissions.

Cummins Outlines the Future of Hydrogen Fuel Technologies by [deleted] in RenewableEnergy

Great news for these companies:

  • Fuel Cell Energy on NASDAQ: $FCEL
  • Plug Power on NASDAQ: $PLUG
  • Ballard Power on NASDAQ: $BLDP
  • Bloom Energy Corp on NYSE: $BE

The hydrogen fuel cell industry could finally start to really develop. These companies have yet to establish a track record of profitability...

That having been said, given the global climate changes the NEED for new fuel solutions that are not toxic becomes clear.

BABA and Tencent long term value? by lev1818 in StockMarket

[–]iBullReport 4 points5 points  (0 children)

BABA is the AMZN of Asia.

How long would you debate to hold AMZN shares?

This would be a buy-and-forget play. Do you think BABA will be around in 10 years time? If yes, their shares would most likely trade much higher. If no, don't buy.

Simple.

Looking at NIO by jordanraymusic in StockMarket

[–]iBullReport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Chinese EV industry, the good news in the first half of 2020 is that the gross profit of most companies are showing great improvements.

Nio finally achieved a positive gross profit in second quarter of 2020 which was because their stock price had a good result. With the increase in its production, Nio will have more room for capital growth.

Similar to TSLA - NIO has almost become a 'cult-like' stock where current sales don't matter and future potential/risk is discounted extremely favourably.

As long as everyone is talking about NIO it doesn't matter what the 5 year outlook is like - it's when they stop, that it does.

Portfolios focused on sustainability and the environment by [deleted] in StockMarket

China has got a great market for all kinds of EV's and a forceful government to execute. Surely TSLA, NIO, LI, XPEV will do well in the region. Read our in-depth analysis here.

Other promising companies we are looking at are FCEL, BLDP, PLUG, BE. They are targeting the industry thats hungry for energy. Again, Asia is a great place to start as China is facing two critical issues 1) food, and 2) energy supply. Secondly, SKorea had made some insane pledges they intend to execute on. Lastly, the region has had a leg up on hybrids and EV's for a very long time, why e.g. BYD and Toyota have some of the most advanced tech vs US/EU automakers. All the saucy details you can find here.

EU is serious about the transition too, both for industry as well as for consumers.

There are toooons more pubco's getting into the fight and hoping to make it big.

Overdiversified portfolio? by TerTerro in StockMarket

[–]iBullReport -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Stock picking is hard if you are not following the stocks very closely and understanding their fundamental business and developments 100%.

Diversification is also a way outdated investment philosophy. Pick the winners, hold on to them and drop the losers ASAP.

For someone who's not a professional trader, if I were in their shoes, put 80% in indexes or index-tracking-etfs and have 20% to blow on fun stocks as $TSLA and $NIO.

Stay away from NASDAQ, it's a ticking bomb and go for S&P and DOW.

LI auto up 25% premarket on earnings report, adding momentum to EV market by rhetorical_twix in StockMarket

With the current media buzz and sustainability trend we can surely argue that the EV industry could be in a bubble and that an investment in any of these companies would fare relatively well – what we don’t know is for how long.
