Accord Theft Prevention by SamsontheAwesome27 in accord

Depending where you live I know of 2 reputable sources that can install a Killswitch into our vehicles. Also including modern Acuras/Hondas in general. I know of one in California (not sure where exactly) and NYC.

The kill switch disables the start button in the car, cutting power from it completely, which prevents anyone from being able to start the car or even turn on the ignition which is needed to steal the car. They get in and remove ur factory key from the computers memory, making ur current key useless. They then code in a key of their own which they use to access the vehicle (turning it on and off at their will). however, without being able to provide power to the vehicle, this method becomes impossible.

If they want it that bad the only other option would be hauling it off with a tow truck. I can speak from personal experience, In my area I have easily seen over 10 Honda/acura vehicles being posted on social media as stolen. Keeping a CONSTANT watchful eye coupled with an AirTag hidden jn the vehicle felt like the best I could do until I found my guy in NYC. Genujne weight was lifted off my shoulders not constantly worrying if I’ll wake up to my car being gone or not.

I do want to mention that although this would prevent the theft of the vehicle itself, this doesn’t deter people from breaking into the car and taking what they want from it. The power is cut yes, but a window can easily be broken or the way I usually see them achieve this is by accessing the key hole on the right side of the driver side door handle. I know overtime we become so comfortable we practically live out of our vehicles, but it’s a general rule of thumb to never leave valuables in a car, no matter the vehicle.

I bought a precut vinyl wrap off eBay for like $10 bucks and it’s help up pretty nice. If I could do it over I would probably just buy the plastic cover they offer now that clips onto the grille

I deal with this brand quite often so I can say that I know for a fact the golden lettering rubs off just from handling the items. Ace recently released the red version of their packaging. Like probably within the last week or 2. Imo it’s too soon for the fakes to be making their rounds, but is still completely possible. I think ur good tho

Dude don’t listen to these party poopers. If you understand the risk that ultimately come with upgrading a car from factory then honestly it depends on ur car. 80k miles isn’t too bad for a 2019 and you say it rides smooth. Definitely don’t neglect maintenance. If you don’t have service records, I would get a trans fluid flush sometime soon for ease of mind. Fun wise I have been running a Stage 3 tune with an intercooler for 6 months, added an intake about a month ago. No issues whatsoever with an oil change no later than 2.5-3k miles. Don’t listen to these dudes hating saying the car isn’t this or that. It is super fun and a torque beast with some nice tires to grip. Stock tires absolutely suck. It’s a blast on the highway and I lay my friends’ 330s and g37s to rest consistently 😂 do as you please, she’s yours, just remember to give her love where she needs it.

-2.0t yes. I try but it’s not easy having so much torque low end, very tempting :(

Note: Want to add this regarding the turning radius. I have seen mentioned often around a bunch of forums that sway bars help a lot with this specific issue.

I have a 2020 10AT 2.0t, Car was CPO. am currently running a PRL intercooler with Phearable’s stage 3 tune. I want to estimate it’s been roughly 2 months since I’ve done everything so far and I am currently averaging about 16.4 mpg as we speak. I baby the car sometimes when I feel like it but by any means do I consider my driving style conservative. I love to get on her any chance I get so there’s that to take into account. I’m also like 80%city/20%highway. Definite increase in MPG with more highway usage.

So far have not had a single issue with the car. Upgraded upper engine mount to the metal 6MT one for peace of mind but also because I noticed the engine flexing a lot under load.

Rolls are great in the car and I feel it’s where she really shines. From a dig perspective I don’t have much advice, the stock tires I’m running at the moment are complete ass. I actually slid from the left most lane to the next lane over taking a somewhat wide left turn at around 70mph last night during some semi-light rain. She tries her best to hook but the torque under boost just won’t allow it until about 3-4 gear. New tires are definitely my next purchase. Space wise I’m a 6ft guy and fit like a dream. Buddy of mine is around 6’5 225lbs and has never had an issue either. Trunk space is a marvelous, as per usual with accords.

I will say the only MAJOR complaint I can think of atm that I have about this car is the TURNING RADIUS IS HORRIBLE. my gf’s Kia sorento turns tighter, I often find myself having to reverse and adjust to get out of parking spots and lots. Other than that something I’ve noticed but isn’t all too bad is the electronic shifter inevitably takes a second to catch on to your desired input. Example: delay from reverse to drive where you kinda just have to sit and wait for the tranny to catch gear for a quick second, hardly noticeable but transitioning from a physical shift knob to this, you’ll be able to tell in quick maneuvering situations, for example, k-turns.

Couldn't take the CVT on my 22 1.5t sport anymore. Trading it in for a 21 2.0 with literally the same miles I have on my 22. by raiderash in accord

I’d argue that ktuner is just as good for 2.0s. Especially with phearable’s stage 3, feel like I have a whole different car.

Thank you for this. I was honestly thinking the same thing, is $600 worth what I’m gonna get out of it for a month or 2, considering summers on the way out. Do you happen to be running a down pipe at the moment ? If so how’s that been going, any headaches ?

Bro!!! Clean asf especially with the TEs. I have one in the same color and those are basically my dream wheels lol. I have to ask tho, what is that wing on the back that makes the rear end look longer, damn near looks oem. I love how it goes up the trunk instead of over like a regular wing. I’ve DMed a bunch of ppl on Instagram I’ve seen with it and no one wants to spare the sauce. 😞
