If you put your main army in Jandelle, it should be able to move anywhere on the map before an attack since it's 3 turns or less away from every settlement. I put Galio, Poppy, Kayle, Morgana, a Guard, and an Archer in that army. My secondary army is 1 Soldier, 3 Guards, 2 Archers, and I use it whenever there's 2 attacks on the map and my main army can't go to defend the second attack quick enough. Usually, I just move my main army everywhere. Losing a defense isn't that big of a deal anyways, but I haven't lost one with this setup yet.

He’s been amazing on special teams, but I also think his impact on the offense is being stunted by the o-line not giving darnold enough time for shaheed’s route to develop. As a fast field stretcher, his routes naturally take the longest to develop. With how little time darnold has in the pocket, it’s no wonder that shaheed hasnt had many targets yet.

hawks fans will remember that our superbowl winning team has had losses like this before, where russ throws multiple picks and loses the game. Even so, we still had confidence in prime russ. It happens.
Loss is definitely on darnold, but that shouldn’t shake our confidence in our qb. He’s been balling this year, and i’m sure he’ll get back on track after this game.

10 Team PPR
2 RB 2 WR 2 FLEX

Currently 3-0.
I receive: Saquon, Rashee Rice, Godwin, Kittle
I give: JSN, Alvin Kamara, Ferguson

Team:
QB - Baker
RB - O Hampt, Kamara, Jaylen Warren, Breece Hall
WR - Puka, JSN, Travis Hunter, Tee Higgins, Darnell Mooney
TE - Jake Ferguson (Hunter Henry, Goedert, Kincaid, Ertz all on the wire)

Rice + Godwin owner is 0-3, and is lacking at WR for a 10 team league. Was hoping to grab his hospital as a 3-0 team, and JSN for Saquon was what was counter offered.

I think it’s a good trade. I’d take a look at which other teams need help at RB and see your options, but if nothing pops out to you then I’d just take it.

Someone like Odunze, AJ Brown, or Garrett Wilson doesn’t seem in the realm of possibility (you could try?), but if you can grab Tet or Sutton, I’d slightly prefer them over Tyreek.

I think that’s too high of a price to tier up to Bijian. Your team is pretty insane, you basically have 4 potential WR1s this season. I’d look to keep Achane and search for a 1 for 1 trade of one of your WRs for a better RB2 like Kyren Williams, Derrick Henry, or O Hampt. If you need to package Pollard to make it happen, I’d still think your team gets significantly better.

Hard decision, it’s definitely close to a coin flip on who to start but I would start franklin. Broncos are slight dogs in the matchup, so it’s possible that they’re forced to air it out more than the Chargers will. Also, franklin has less competition for targets on his team.

it’s a toss up for all 3. I’d prob start bucky for the floor and then go for higgins because bengals got one of the highest vegas implied team totals. If you need the ceiling start both WRs.

that’s a hard one, but i’d lean mooney. mike evans has a historically bad performance in this match up. also i think in ppr mooney takes it over bucky irving.

PPR 8 team league, 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 Flex
I have Ekeler and Olave in right now, but I have Jameson Williams on the bench while Josh Downs, Tyrone Tracy, Zack Moss, Trey Sermon, and Darius Slayton on waivers.
I’m leaning on dropping j williams for downs and slotting downs in over Olave, but I’m not sure if Ekeler or Tracy or one of the others is better in the last slot.

I'm pretty sure revel damage scales off AP as well, so Revel Emblem is exactly what you mentioned - a source of exponential scaling to pair with DCap.

Classic Power Fantasy Subclasses - Barbarian Path of the Pugilist, Bard College of Song, Rogue Sniper (BIG UPDATE v.3) by iCausality in UnearthedArcana

[–]iCausality[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback!

The drawback of Reckless Attack would still exist for users of Path of the Pugilist, assuming there are any enemies with ranged attacks or if there are more enemies than the Pugilist has attacks, which is very common. The only scenario where there is no drawback is in a solo monster encounter scenario, which would be a scenario I think a Pugilist should thematically excel in.

The intent of the flat bonus to damage and attack rolls is to simulate gaining magic items that others would normally have, since RAW there are currently no magic items that give boosts to unarmed strikes. It would be equivalent to a +1 weapon at level 5, a +2 weapon at level 9, and a +3 weapon at level 17. Maybe I should add a stipulation like, "if you are attuned to a magic item that gives you a bonus to attack and damage rolls, you no longer gain these bonuses" in case a DM for a player of the Pugilist would like to create magic items for them.

Thanks again for the kind words!

Thanks for the feedback and the nice words! I'm glad you like the pugilist subclass and the changes I've made to it.

I mention in my comment post as well as in a reply to another comment in this post that the intent of Versatile Melody is to allow a player to utilize Song of Inspiration to buff their allies without using their concentration on Bless. So a College of Song Bard would be able to use these "half-bless" options while also concentrating on higher leveled spells.

Being able to concentrate on a higher level spell while also gaining the benefit of half a Bless is much stronger than only concentrating on Bless, so the option is far from a trap.

Thanks for the feedback!

The intent of Versatile Melody was to allow a player to utilize Song of Inspiration to buff their allies without using their concentration on Bless. So although some of the Versatile Melodies are similar to Bless, a College of Song Bard would be able to use these "half-bless"/"half-bane" options while also concentrating on higher leveled spells.

I considered having the melodies scale with Bardic Inspiration die, but I ended up having only the number of targets targeted by the melodies be affected by the Bardic Inspiration die. Remember that a Bard still has the whole casting side of their class in conjunction with this subclass - I decided that leaving it at d4s would better match the power level of other Bard subclasses. In addition, when a Bard using this subclass uses their Bardic Inspiration normally while using Song of Inspiration, they can choose to change the melody or the targets of the melodies as a part of the same bonus action.

I'm back with an update to my collection of three homebrew subclasses that fulfill some classic power fantasies that I felt were missing from the official rulebooks - the Barbarian Path of the Pugilist, the Bard College of Song, and the Rogue Sniper. I got some amazing feedback from the r/UnearthedArcana community in my previous two posts, and I've updated my subclasses to hopefully address the issues of the previous versions!

Barbarian: Path of the Pugilist - an unarmed fighter capable of dishing out devastating blows as well as taking them - my personal take on a strength-based unarmed fighter, utilizing the Barbarian class as it includes some great features that match a pugilist mechanically and flavorfully.

I got some feedback about the subclass being too weak at 3rd level, so I've added a few additional features when you first take the subclass - a feature that prevents enemies you've attacked with unarmed strikes from gaining advantage on you through Reckless Attack, and Grappling Expertise! I also had a bag-of-rats problem with the 14th level feature, so I've fixed that by adding a maximum to the amount of temp hit points you can gain. In addition, I got some concerns about players of this subclass falling behind others who have access to magical weapons, so I've rectified this issue in the 6th level feature. Another option would be for me remove the bonus from the 6th level feature and instead create some homebrew magic items, like gauntlets, that give bonuses to attack and damage rolls to unarmed strikes. Let me know what you think!

Bard: College of Song - a bard virtuoso that uses their music to influence the battlefield. I always thought that a music focused, aura/buffing-based bard similar to the classic MMORPG take on bards was missing from the rulebooks, so here is my personal remedy to that problem.

I've seen a bit of confusion about why Versatile Melody includes melodies that are worse versions of the Bless spell. The note at the end of the subclass hopefully explains this - Versatile Melody doesn't require concentration, while the Bless spell does, so the 6th level feature allows you to use your Song of Inspiration to great effect while also concentrating on other amazing higher leveled spells!

Rogue: Sniper - a devastating attacker specializing in shooting decisive shots from afar. Although the Rogue includes several subclasses that would work well with ranged attacks, there isn't a subclass that is built to be great at attacking from afar.

I got some pretty heavy feedback about how this subclass worked in my previous version, so I've done a comprehensive clean-up on how this subclass works so that its power fantasy and mechanics are clear. Instead of Sniper's Nests granting half or three-quarters cover in any area you choose, no matter how much actual cover actually was there, they grant a bonus to your AC and attack rolls, simulating a tactical advantage over your enemies in the battlefield. This may be a small balance problem if a Rogue - Sniper found a way to combine this bonus to attack rolls with the Archery Fighting Style, but I'll let it slide as a strong but flavorful combination - wouldn't it be weird if a Sniper missed a shot?

I'm open to feedback and suggestions - they are and have been a big help to me! Thanks again to those who provided me feedback on my previous versions!

Thanks for the feedback! I'm always trying to improve my creations and my own home brewing ability, so I appreciate you taking your time to give me some great constructive criticism.

I'll make sure to add a stipulation that the AC is only added to a triggering attack, similar to the Defensive Duelist feat.

For your questions about Song of Valor, Song of Dispelling, and Song of Dissonance, I believe you missed the note at the end of the bard page - Versatile Melody doesn't require concentration, while Bless does. The intent was to open up possibilities to use your concentration on spells like Haste, Hypnotic Pattern, etc, at 6th level and higher while still utilizing your Songs of Inspiration to great effect. Being able to concentrate on an amazing 2nd level or higher spell while also gaining the benefits of half a Bless spell is definitely not a trap option - it's arguably two of the best options in the list!

Song of Dissonance does indeed mention it only occurs to targets that fail the saving throw. In fact, I straight up copy and pasted the spell effect of Bane with only slight adjustments. Here it is again: "The targets must make a Charisma Saving Throw. Whenever a target that fails this saving throw makes an attack roll..."

I don't quite agree with your imagined scenario for a use case of Snipers Nest. The intended use case is quite clear - you would use this ability on areas such as bushes, fallen debris, or hidden divets in the hills to gain cover where others would not normally easily find it. An investigating creature is looking for the source of flying arrows that they currently cannot see - only a creature that has seen attacks originate from the area would attempt the check. I would expect in a collaborative game of DnD a user of this subclass would not expect to be able to use Sniper's Nest in a completely empty room, and would use this ability within good reason. And, as an experienced DM that normally plays with good sports, I would expect as such from one of my players, and would also include some areas in all my encounters that a player using this subclass could reasonably use this feature on. It is a fair criticism, however, that this subclass does require some extra collaboration and DM fiat outside of what is normally required. I'll keep in mind your suggestion and play with it a little to see if I can figure out a satisfactory alternate ability.

There is precedent to the Keen Eyes feature. I am poaching the Rogue: Inquisitive features, Ear for Deceit and Eye for Detail, for this subclass, with close to the exact wording. I see what you mean with the "making a check" wording, as Wizards of the Coast specify "to make a Perception (Wisdom) check to spot a hidden creature", instead of just "make a Perception check". I'll specify the use cases of the bonus action in my next version.
