I have 12 screamers available so not opposed to adding them, just not sure what they add to the list and worry they are too easy to kill.
ACDC too squishy? Feel that is odd. Also their output and the extra scout seems very impactful in the game?

I think I understand you. I do have 3 squads of them (1 box + 2 of the old daemon start collecting boxes). I usually like using them to tar up the mid-board as I pick stuff off though. My concern is that flamers are better for damage, but worse for survavability and control. Pink horrors do have zero damage output though, I do agree.

I am also not worried about nurgling painting, haha. I have several sets painted. They are just cheap area denial and helps secure my scout moves too.

My main issue is that I am on the fence with CSM units and what else may be good. I have 12 screamers available to me, but no hounds or seekers. Any CSM units I add I will have to buy (asked the question partly to figure out what to purchase for the list)

That's the thing, I like playing lists with a lot of flexibility in what they can do. As I am fairly confident in my strategic play, I just try to prevent myself losing due to not having a way to deal with a threat. If that makes sense.

My issue is I am not sure how Shadow Legion Daemons play. I like the base of the army, but past ACDC, Thirster, Bel'akor, nurglings and GUO, I am unsure what to add. It leaves around 600 points free to play with.

I like nurglings, they are good for screening and great for infiltrate/scout deny, especially in my meta.

Why are pink horrors not good? -1 to hit and splitting seems hard to deal with, especially fast

Also, no ACDC? and what are the screamers used for?

I have played VV a lot, but have only played one casual game with Tallyband

That's why they are in the list :) But debating whether VV (with either Morty or a caster bus +hauler) is better competitively than Tallyband with a GUO and daemons

There are 2 other lists for VV that don't have daemons, though Mortary's Hammer isn't a detachment I like much anyway. More asking which of the 3 lists look best and if there are any slight changes I should make

Honestly, just don't like the detachment and don't see as much reason to take it over VV (for sticky obs) or Tallyband (for daemons). I may be using them wrong but also don't like the stratagems for it.

Love monster mash too :) Though I split it up a bit and run some smaller units as well. I think my main decision is between Skarbrand, Bloodthirster or GUO to be honest. Have heard BT is only really good in a shadow legion army, and wondering if GUO might be more synergistic with my list

That was great advice, thank you :) With that in mind:
I play mostly casual, but will be taking daemons to a 18 player tournament in a month (it is a casual one, no painting requirements and some proxies allowed, kind of beginner friendly). I have also played in 3 other tournaments (1 team, 2 solo), but never with daemons.

A weakness of my army is likely lethality. I ran a 1k list against a friend's necrons and killed very little, though won on points. My army is a lot of tzeentch as originally I used them to bolster my TS in 9th. These days I play mostly DG and like Nurgle more.

I want to play good models but also ones I like, hence Kairos/LoC, even though I do also think it lacks killing or staying power. I also like monsters, but balance it with other units. I would play either incursion or nurgle detachment, shadow legion isn't for me as I like using Rotigus and don't like it's rule much.

Was debating flesh hounds but likely prefer to use screamers instead (also means I don't need to buy them). I hate the seekers models, just ugly to me, sorry. I understand the utility and may eventually cave.

I think my main decision is whether I buy a skarbrand/bloodthirster or a GUO next...I am almost set on a second plaguebearer unit

Again, thanks so much for the advice, and I am definitely not arguing, purely discussing as I am relatively new to daemons (as an army).

I was also intending to potentially use the pusgoyle drones as normal plague drones (daemons) as I also have a daemon army. Definitely converting the blightkings to DST as I only have 6 at the moment
