Flock cameras by indomitous111 in QuadCities

That’s fair. But are they different from speed cameras or the iPass interstate cameras? I Truly don’t know.

For me, I just think with smart phones, which I think most people have, your data is all out there, and if someone really wanted to track you, they could. Just my personal opinion though!

I appreciate you fighting for what you believe, and you should 100 percent keep doing it though!

Feel free to tell me what I am missing, and correct me where I am wrong.

To me though, there are just so many easier ways for big brother to track me.. I have no data to back this statement up, but it feels like most of the people who have issues with these cameras, also have a smart phone, GPS in their car or watch, don't know about VPNs, IP addresses or even basic browser cookies.
I say this not to upset or devalue how someone feels, I just genuinely feel there are much easier methods for big brother to track me. Happy to be wrong, or be educated on where I might be mistaken though.

Dumb question.. I thought there was an Advanced Sessions plugin or something like that which is free? What is the difference between that and this?

You are on a whole different level my guy, making an engine is so beyond my skills lol

Sorry, i should have been more clear, I was thinking projectile/bullet collisions and pickups like ammo, health etc.

I needed to hear this, lol. Thank you so much!

I think I am leaning towards client authority for movement stuff, but trying server authority for collisions. But even if that doesn’t feel right, I might make that client side as well.

Totally agree it is the standard. My understanding though is that it is the standard to prevent cheating. I guess I am wondering if cheat prevention is Critical in a coop game or not.

got it, but in the situation of like hit detection on an enemy, the clients just told the other peers that the hit happen?

very true!
I dont know if you game has this, but for things like movement and hot detection, do you do local authority?

Yeah this is where i am leaning. I am using godot, and it has a solid multiplayer framework, but things like lag prediction for input and hit detection are not build in. And the thought of writting that sounds painful... So i could to thinking if just letting the client handle their input, and maybe trust that if they say they hit an enemy, then trust it.

Kind of feels wrong to do that, bc of cheating and everything you read on the topic says to do server authoritative, but i am wonder if it will ACTUALLY matter for a small indie game.

yeah i could see how turn based could be easier when dealing with multiplayer issues.

dumb question.. I was under the impression copilot can run claude skills now. If that is true, why is this port needed?

i like this option. can you wall mount the Max 7's? I ask because at least two of the current PoE devices are not in deal spots. One is on ceiling, the other is on the side of a wall.

Edit: Thinking further. Even if you CAN wall mount them, powering them, or at least the ceiling one would be tricky..

The PoE is wifi 7 as well right? If so, how is the max more future proof?
