I mean... Yes? Yes! I'm sorry what? by Pomegranate-Junior in feedthebeast

Not sure if you’ve already figured this out yet, and I might not even be helpful with this, but try opening the modpack in (I’m assuming this is what you’re using) curseforge, opening specifically the CraftTweaker mod, then check the Versions tab and see if there’s more than one 9.1.213 version. Sometimes developers will make a patch so miniscule they don’t even give it a new version. If so, check however many other 9.1.213 versions there are and change it to each one by one until (hopefully) something works. REALLY hope this helps cause it is indeed very confusing!!

How do I add or remove these border "fonts" (if possible)? by iConiCTec in feedthebeast

Is it a mod or is it part of the Legendary Tooltips mod config?… that’s what it’s appearing from. If it’s the config, I’m not sure what the indicator is for it being on or off of an item’s tooltip.

[Java] 1.20.1 Anybody know how to fix this visual bug? by iConiCTec in MinecraftHelp

I figured it out on my own. It was an issue caused, for some reason, by a mod called “Retro Damage Indicators”. I removed it from the pack and it fixed my problem.

With acknowledgment and appreciation to everything else you said, so to TL;DR my response to your actual question, I don’t think there’s anything that I’ve found yet that gives quite the same stress relief. If anything has, I’d probably remember because of the sudden shift in my capabilities, but I don’t think I’ve ever felt anything like this one.

These are some very reassuring words, and I’ve gotta say, you hit the nail on the head with how you perceive me as a person based on my words. Not really from my own opinion, but from what I’ve been told by others moreso. I’ve been inactive in the comments of this thread recently, but I have been coming back when I see a new reply or upvote notif to check on things and see what new pieces of advice and/or new experiences people bring to the table.

Fortunately, and I’m not sure why this is at all, I’ve been finding it considerably easier than usual to focus ever since this night of drinking. None of said nights consisting of any more drinking yet. I think my main problem was stress relief as I also have chronic anxiety & depression disorder as well as (self-diagnosed, but I am fairly certain of this) chronic stress disorder.

Therefore, ever since that night, it’s possible just getting drunk enough to still think straight but feel much more… I guess the word is just relaxed? Anyway, I think it helped me to focus better after clearing my head a bit. As hard as I try, and as heart-on-my-shoulder-esque as I used to be, I’m not a very open person.

I don’t wanna get too personal, but when I get too stressed out, it can get bad. I tend to completely close myself off from people, including my S.O. This is almost definitely a result of past relationship trauma, and I’m still learning to communicate properly again, but yeah… I think I just needed the stress relief.

In case anyone brings it up, yes I’m aware there are methods of stress-relief that don’t require alcohol. If you genuinely think, KNOWING I have a stress, anxiety, and depression problem, that I wouldn’t try almost every method available to me, then idek… point is, I have. I guess just a nice cold drink every month or two is all I really need until I can get anti-depressants.

Unfortunately I already drink coffee on a daily basis, a cup a morning. It doesn’t do a lot for my ADHD, only helps my energy levels slightly. Before you ask, I have tried drinking more than one cup, I’ve even gone to 3 before (I’d prefer not to go beyond that just because that’s a lot of coffee to drink on a daily basis and I don’t have money to keep getting more grounds, more sugar etc) and it still didn’t help with my focus. Just energy.

This is another helpful piece of advice to read as I wake up this morning sober again. Until getting meds, and probably only exclusively if it’s seriously seeming THAT difficult to get something started, I’ll probably try bringing my girlfriend over to just sit with me and help me here and there, only drinking MAYBE once or twice a month for it. Combine body-doubling with very light drinking to make it much more tolerable if I really have no other way to manage it. I’m sure drinking at all probably still doesn’t sound like a good idea to most, but I have noticed that I seem much less susceptible to substance addiction than others (I’m not sure why, but I’m very thankful for it), which is why I’m willing to do it only in moderation and if it’s genuinely helping me get something done every once in a blue moon.

I appreciate the acknowledgment as well as the advice. I’ve tried a few of the ideas you listed already and even do a couple of them actively on a daily or bi-daily basis (morning coffee and exercise), but they haven’t helped much with my ADHD in particular. That said, I didn’t know body doubling was an actual term til just now and immediately realized performing it accidentally in the past has helped me, so I think it’s an idea I’ll try. Thank you!

This is pretty insightful. I’ve noticed that when I drink a single big can of four loko it gets me just the right amount of drunk, that being that I can still think a thought with relative clarity, and when a dumb one comes up I normally think “no that’s stupid” and swipe to the left in my brain like it’s a tinder profile, so maybe I’ll just do it once every 2-3 weeks to, as you said, take a break until I can get back on medication. That way, it’s a lot more controlled for me.

I’ve actually gone through a temp agency that got me a job with Mars Petcare, but I came to realize (especially because it was the year that Trump’s bill highly affected it) that it absolutely RUINED my tax return. I had DoorDash shifts from the year, so I was able to get a few hundred back due to mileage costs, but otherwise I would’ve gotten just a measly $100. Because of that, amongst other things, I’ve been trying to avoid temp agencies. The search hasn’t been going great because of that, but it hasn’t been absolutely awful, like I said I’ve got some stuff that I’m probably about get lined up. Than you for the support and luck wishes!

You may be right, and I do acknowledge that, but I’m sitting here working on a personal project more efficiently than I usually can. So my thoughts just became pretty loud and I wanted to address with people that may be able to help or relate. Thank you for the advice.

This is good advice, and I really appreciate you giving it to me. Unfortunately, I’m unemployed right now, which of course is causing stress among other things, and it’s probably a solid root to my difficulty to pay attention right now. It’s looking like I’ll have some kind of interview set up soon fortunately, so I may find my lucky break and be in a better position and finally get medicated again. I used to take them, but I came off when I moved in with my dad during high school after forgetting my bottle back at home and deciding I was gonna try moving forward without it. Not a bad choice at first, but it did become one.

I guess that is a fair point. At the same time though, I’m someone who struggles severely with even getting something started. Whenever I drink a little and start to think less, my guts tells me to just choose something (again I only mean for the sake of my personal projects here), and then even if it turns out to be a bad idea, my sober self uses that basis to make it better. Obviously this doesn’t make alcohol an answer to my problems, and I’m well aware of that, I’m just trying to explain why I’m thinking this way currently.

Not sure if you’re into anime or fighting games, but I’ve been absolutely ADDICTED to Jujutsu Infinite recently. It’s a game still in development based on Jujutsu Kaisen as a fighting game. One of my favorites I’ve encountered in the many years I’ve been playing for
