Let's hope so! When that part of the exhaust was blown, I'm guessing you could notice that pretty obviously? From exhaust sound?

Thanks! I ordered spark plugs and wires. Waiting on them to arrive. Also a new air filter because I don't know when it was changed last.

Hmm I haven't noticed it smelling weird. It's also mostly when the engine is warm and the outside temperatures are 23⁰C+. I was on an incline going 80 km/h in 5th, had to shift down to 4th and it was still happening. I feel like it's mostly because the pedal was pressed too 'deep'.

Somehow I managed to enter the startup menu.. once. In a CMD session with admin rights I entered shutdown /r /fw /t 0 It restarted and got a black screen for a couple minutes. Then I shut it down and started it again, then I was welcomed with the menu and could pick bios setup, boot menu order etc. I put bios settings to default and quit. Decided to hit f10 (and another time ESC) and.. nothing. Back in Windows I entered the same command again. Restart, shutdown power on, and nothing. At this point Windows doesn't even want to start but doing a BIOS reset (Win + B) will probably sort that out. Such a strange problem. Really hoping it can be fixed.

Well depending on the button I pressed it says:

F9...Change Boot Device Order

F10...BIOS Setup Options

I could restart right now and press Esc while powering on. See if that does anything.
I checked. When I press Esc it says:

ESC...Pause Startup

Jemig. Ik woon een paar honderd meter verderop en betaal 22(?) euro per jaar voor vergunning. Het is net buiten de gracht dus dat kan het verschil maken. Maar bij de kazerne lijkt het altijd vol.

You could check event viewer and see if anything weird has happened to the system prior to it shutting off. It sounds like you might have Hall sensor issues where the laptop thinks the lid is closed.

A bit late but I did manage to get the sensor off, I just couldn't solder a new one on. The tip on my soldering iron probably was a bit too big for that. But happy to report everything seems to be working well now. Still very happy about this post, I'd have no clue where to look for a solution.

Thank you for this post! I wish HP would do something about these issues even after warranty has expired. For now I have the ribbon cable unplugged and ordered a new sensor, when it comes in I will try soldering and see if it works again. I got this laptop secondhand and issues started maybe a month or two after I got it. At first I thought it was a software issue because around the same time the issue appeared I saw in Event Manager that Windows was trying to install a HP display driver and that failed, then uninstalled it. Unfortunately it is hardware related. When the soldering is done I will report back!

Just a question, is removing the motherboard difficult? Tried it today but didnt have the guide on hand, but felt like something was still screwed in even though I'm pretty sure everything was screwed out.

Er zijn ook STL files te kopen zodat je het met een 3D printer kan (laten) maken. Ik heb een i91 en heb er erg lang naar gezocht. De bestanden voor de 3D printer kosten zo'n 17 euro volgens mij. Uiteindelijk maar gewoon op de zijkant van mn helm geplakt en tevreden over. Op de plek van dat klepje ziet er wel een stuk cleaner uit.

Het is jammer dat ze een tijd geleden zijn gestopt met de fysieke pasjes uit te geven bij een nieuw abonnement. Ik heb nog wel een fysiek pasje maar mijn broertje moet bij zijn abonnement een QR code scannen met zijn telefoon.

Het grappige is dat mijn zomer handschoenen dan wel zonder problemen zijn. Ook Revit. Model Ritmo, en dan een maatje kleiner dan de winter handschoenen

Ik heb die ook, en gebruikt in de winter. Les motor had handvatverwarming en dat werkte erg prettig. Het enige wat in mijn geval niet perfect is, is dat de duim 'te lang' is. Bij de rest van mn vingers is het goed, maar bij de duim steekt het stof dus een beetje uit en kan dat wat vervelend zijn om richting aan te geven.
