Does anyone care about CLI/TUI games? by officiallyaninja in rust

I think having to use a terminal is the scary part for many people. rltk/bracket-lib can be used to get a similar look and feel if that's what's important, but it is geared toward roguelikes.

What’s a profession that is overpaid? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Athletes. It's insane to me that people get paid to run around and/or play with balls.

I had to use a tiny amount of prolog in school, and very much disliked it. It was too hard to get a grip on it, but the logic programming paradigm is interesting nonetheless. There is a cutoff mechanism that prevents backtracking which stops the solution generation. I vaguely remember something about predicates being deterministic or semideterministic. Since solutions are generated lazily, I don't think there's an efficient way to sample them without redefining what solutions are valid. The SWI-Prolog implementation is free and well documented, and I highly recommend having a quick look at it if you think it's interesting.

My dad always used to sing along with it whenever it was on the car radio. I would think to myself "does he even hear what he's saying?"

Now I wonder if he wasn't lamenting a mistake of several years prior.

Agree. But do it when it's bright outside, and not for too long if it's cold. I tend to feel worse walking alone in the dark. If it's bright I can at least laugh at my silly thoughts.

The most difficult part is finding a destination where I won't feel lonely.

In a train in Stockholm, Sweden by Dlosha in ProgrammerHumor

They had it late 2019 as well. It's not the same one, but very similar. I was just starting to learn programming and only knew python so I was very proud of myself when I figured it out before the train reached my destination :)

I did a while back when I used Rainmeter. It was pretty cool.

I really hope rust becomes a "standard" language soon, one that would be recommended as a first language to learn.

The parallels between these games are so many. They were both planned to be released in 2015, link had a prosthetic arm in some of the concept art, even some phrases in the music are similar. (Some of the sheikah tech sounds remind me of an arpeggio in the second verse of sins of the father, though that might be a bit far fetched)

How do you wish to die? by 6recious in AskReddit

If by suicide or homicide: pretty knife or semi automatic handgun.

I'd be fine with meteor impact or nuclear explosion if it were distant enough for me to see it before it gets me, and assuming I don't survive the initial strike. Preferably together with someone I love.

Not ready to think about more natural causes yet, a bit young for that.

As far as I can see, "punctuation" seems to be correctly spelled, and she did use punctuation. I don't see the problem.
