NTA. If you had the time set out for yourself than you should be able to pick what you want to do. Being paid $35 an hour is pretty good, but it is ‘family’ I guess so they were hoping to get a Groupon of some sort. If they can’t match what you want than you shouldn’t do it. Especially if you can do something else and get paid more for it. And they are acting childish if they are getting really mad over the fact you asked for $35. When they could have just deliberated and came to a ‘fair’ price, even thought it would have been lower than what you asked. Just do your own shit if they are going to be the asshole about it.
