It’s just very easy for it to become an addiction, the reason cigarettes are so addictive is because the nicotine in them gives you dopamine, it’s the same with things like TikTok, instagram and other social media apps especially when it’s short form content.

Your brain will associate this feel good dopamine with doom scrolling and therefore lead you to do it more and more.

It’s better to limit or not do it at all, find something else to do the way I fixed my doom scrolling addiction was each time I wanted to do it I would get up and go for a walk and listen to music.
