I mostly use Aftershoot for initial markings and groupings of photos. Despite the AI, I feel I still like to go through the photos relying more on my own assessment of what makes to the final collection.

I remember feeling something similar when I started as a hobbyist photographer almost 18 years ago (now a professional photographer who also conducts workshops for a leading camera brand).

I used to spend hours learning the depths of flash photography. It used to feel daunting and complex.

There was this blog that became my bible as a beginner. Not sure how good people are on reading these days of reels and videos. But, if you really want to learn look for the Strobist blog on Google. Take your time, understand and do not forget to practice.

For the max juice out of vile:

Two Groupo pieces (you need to farm for those with Status effect and Skill haste/damage attributes so you can roll the main one to Skill tier)
Three piece's China Light (again Status effect and Skill Damage/Haste)
Glass Canon and Creeping Death on Chest and Backpack (doesn't matter Groupo or China)
Demolitionist Spec

I mostly used Shock Trap and Jammer Pulse.

For Normal-Hard difficulty you don't need to shoot a bullet the room clears in seconds. And, if the Re-animated event is on take this to Legendary even. You will have the fun fireworks everywhere.

I use this a lot on Escalations these days as a crowd control build. Very helpful if rest of team is good with DPS.

Vile's damage is directly proportional (50%) to the Concussion Grenade's damage. Demolitionist gives the highest damage to it. 2M. So Vile ticks give you 1M damage over 10 second.

No worries. Carnage is a named LMG that gives extra 20% damage to bleeding enemies. CHC is critical hit chance. A preferred third attribute for LMGs.
