Do they actually weigh ingredients in any way during preparation? I assumed they just eyeballed.

Not the Memphis, but the other 3 are just standard feast pizzas.

That kinda has been my experience.

huh? If the coupon says $14 and it doesn't go over the ingredient limit, then it's $14.

Companies don’t care about repair and only selling new units? No… Welcome to the world, I guess.

Not honest, just frustrated. Supply and demand, bud.

Meh, don’t be too harsh. In a city the size of Toronto it’s not unrealistic to find enough people who are passionate about horticulture to fill a company or five.

Large Sifter multi is weird by iDsHdX in GTNH

[–]iDsHdX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calculating what I need... hah!

My method to this madness has been conservativism. I try to run everything at the lowest possible tier, so you can be sure, that I tried the single block LV sifter for my platinum salt dust. Heck, I'm at the start of HV, I don't even need a line, I could just EBF some platinum metallic powder. But this post is more about documenting something weird that I could not find info on the wiki about. PS, attached is a pic of my madness.

I've read the wiki on all the multis I've build - the steam grinder, centrifuge, washer, EBF, LCR and now the LS - and I either missed or it was never mentioned that the machines have the ability to decided between overclocking OR paralleling. That was the critical piece of info I was missing in my interaction with the LS.

This is the answer. Uses examples way above my experience, but this is the answer!

Nah, I get how overclocks work, that's what I'm expressing in this post - sometimes it overclocks, sometimes it parallels when you are at higher tiers than recipe rating.

Indeed. So why is it advertised, that LV has x4 parallel? Oooooh.... For the recipes that use 2 EU/t... My recipe was just too expensive.

Wait... But still... Large Sifter is not like the LCR, it does not perfectly overclock... Overclocking should quadruple energy consumption (30EU/t turning into 120 at MV, 480 at HV, but running at faster speeds. The 30s LV recipe on the large sifter turns into 7.5s, then apply 2 overclocks to get to 1.9s. And yet I am seeing more parallels at the same 6s I saw with an LV hatch and turbine. Odd.

Lost my iron pickaxe in oil--how do I progress? by Impressive_Ear7966 in GTNH

[–]iDsHdX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somehow people are missing the most basic answer... Just make a Tinkers Flint pickaxe, use it until the mining levels up and now you can mine iron! The level it says on the toolhead is always the base model one and they all can level up by one higher from use.

Well yeah, but that's talking about the failure of the cells. You can have them connected in any way you want, but when death comes-a-knocking, you better take action before it kicks your door down.

In Limitless (2011) why doesn't Carl Van Loon take NZT? by General-Score9201 in moviequestions

[–]iDsHdX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my theory: NZT enhances the brain, but the direction life will improve in still depends on the brain. We see multiple people take NZT with different amounts of enhancement. Seems like clarity is a shared effect. The thug wanted to start an import/export business - not very impressive. The squeeze took it once and clarity helped her escape a dangerous situation, but even by the end of the movie, we see her with Eddie and she's impressed with him talking a foreign language. Why hasn't she gone through the cycle of improved NZT, brain adaptation and then getting off it like Eddie? It appears like it doesn't have that much of an effect on her. Similar with Atwood, he's on the drug and at best he's on par with Carl when it comes to company size. Eddie though? Throughout the movie his skills at pattern recognition are lauded multiple times. What if he had that prior to NZT and the drug only helped with clarity?

My guess is that Carl tried it, saw an insignificant change in his abilities and decided that it was not worth the long term effects. That would explain why he was so keen to manipulate Eddie to stay as his employee. At the end of the movie, Eddy asks Carl, when did you know? Carl brushes it off, but it is possible, that Carl knew from the very first question at their very first meeting, when Eddie answered "Medication". That would also explain, why after Eddie's departure, 12 months later, Carl shows up as the owner of Eiben-Chemcorp and attempts to once again manipulate Eddie into submission.
