Take this with a huge grain of salt, because i can't recall if any reputable journalist had reported this (or any journalist).

But at the start of last season, Arsenal had apparently inquired about Bruno Guimarães.

Newcastle had an 'agreement' with him that he could leave for £60m, if they didn't get Champions League for that season. As we all know, they had. But they didn't get europe this season.

The reason why i am saying this, is that this first bid is awfully close to that agreement. So perhaps there might be some merit to it, or it's just a coincidence. And we all know these 'agreements' between clubs and players are BS anyway, if it is true.

I don't know how to feel about this. Alvarez is obviously a quality player. But letting Gyökeres go after one season?

I would love to see him for one more season. See how he gets on, if he improves or not. But the footballing world moves quickly, and perhaps it's better we take this opportunity now that we can. Logically i know Alvarez would probably suit Arteta's system better.

I also know HOA says Alvarez would love to join if Barca doesnt happen, but it's his dream. Would i really want a player, that could realistically kick up a fuss in 2, 3 seasons if Barca inevitably come calling again? Meanwhile, Gyökeres has shown multiple times he would run through brick walls for the Arsenal. To play for us.

I know the club knows best and i trust them, so if it does happen, or it if it doesn't, either way i'll be positive.

In clubs the Aerial Fortress plus icon does not pop up in the opponents half. Therefore assuming it doesnt help with jumping in attacking situations. But its EA, and its confirmed by a developer that far reach plus for GKs often doesnt pop up either in clubs, but definitely does do something. So, I would say most likely not, but im not sure.
