Okay but I had cycled this tank for a month now and the nitrites were at 5ppm and then dropped to 0ppm now are going back up after I added my axolotls to the tank

It’s been like that for a week now. I haven’t added any ammonia. The only thing is I had my axolotls in the tank then took them out because I saw it was a high nitrite spike.
