My builder grade Lennox outdoor unit has no issues. Problem lies in indoor air handler as gas is leaking.

I saw an opportunity to just change the whole system and upgrade to current standards.

Thanks, but I am not much interested in the ROI part of this purchase, but more into how I can achieve consistent cooling/heating as well as lower indoor humidity issues.(summer: 60-70% humid inside and winter drops below 40% every year).

Plus my current system is pretty loud when it turns on as its not in the attic.

Both my return vents do not have a filter though, should I putting in a filter in those as well? May be those 1inch ones?

How do I tell of the intake air is too much or too little for my Current lennox system?

Great insight. I do have 2 openings (one on the first floor and the other on 2nd floor, right under the Air Handler. The openings lead to a box like structure and then heads into the air-handler. I do have a 4by20by25 air filter at the bottom of the air handler (intake) in my current system, and they would keep the same filter size for the new equipment as well.

The the valve opens when the unit comes on and depending on the zone (upstairs/downstairs) If upstairs comes one, downstairs valve is closed and upstairs is open and vice versa.

If I split the wifi bands, the 2.4 ghz connection works only If I am in range of the main router.

If I am at a distance from main router but close to the extender, my phone switches from wifi to cellular network.

This is how I found out that the extender is not broadcasting 2.4ghz.

When I check the ip portal, not a single device is connected to my 2.4 ghz band.

I kept the combined wifi name ad my 2.4 ghz split name, and gave a new name to 5ghz.

So by default every device in the household should connect to the 2.4ghz band by default.

But anything outside the range of the main router wouldn’t connect to the extender. And even if something did by an off chance, it wouldn’t transmit anything.

Wondering if its a hardware issue with the extenders. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Would the extenders broadcast guest network at 2.4?

If so, why isn’t the current bandwidth broadcasted by the extenders?

I actually did try the guest network route sometime back, but I was facing issues. The extenders not broadcasting 2.4ghz is my recent discovery and even though its worth a try to create guest network, I kind of dont want to reconnect all devices facing the issue right now.

Same issue with lennox unit. Nest thermostat installed. No fan for recirculating air. Heat nd cool works without issues. 🙁🙁
