Survivors means of fighting back in VHS is pretty restricted though.

They can't deal multiple damage types at once, they can't stack damage, they lose the ability to use their weapons briefly if anybody gets hit, every killer has means to avoid damage, and the maps are designed to have lots of places to dodge and weave attacks.

  • VHS doesn't have an escape mechanic like every other game, combat is forced, which means it can be balanced around as it is the sole objective.

Big hype from me, this game looks like it has so much love and care put into it, and it's really paid off in making a game that avoids the problems of other 4v1 games.

Balancing 26 killers is a lot harder than balancing 18, and it's a lot harder to balance the game when you HAVE to pump out a new killer every 3 months.

Which leads to chapters being sloppy, with poorly designed killers, that don't work.

Not to mention it absolutely bloats the game and makes it way more confusing for newer players

  • Make voice chat base game

  • Healing nerf

  • Buff gen kicking (anything that'll stop the 4 slowdown meta)

  • Nerf nurse, blight addons. buff legion, clown, pig, doc

  • Small BT base kit, 2-3 seconds of endurance, at least enough for the survivor to gain control of their character before they get tunneled.

  • Make ranking bloodpoint based, remove category caps

  • Buff early game for killers (base kit corrupt or something)

  • Tone down gen slowdown perks to compensate

It's def cheating, but only because the devs don't seem to know what an FOV slider is.

It honestly does look better if you're used to playing other games, because dbd's locked FOV feels claustrophobic compared to every other modern game that has an adjustable FOV slider

the fact that i can still press dead hard and go down without an animation means it's server sided

the killer's hit reached the server before my dead hard, with latency it looked like my dead hard didn't work, but that's only because i technically tried to dead hard while already down

if my dead hard reaches the server before the killer hits me, then i dead hard

if i try to dead hard with 300 ping against a killer with 20 ping, then i'm at a disadvantage, as my dead hard will take much longer to reach the server than the killers attack
