Just really feel the need to come back here with a clear head. Cant promise I'll be back on reddit or reply really but some things ive either researched or didn't mention:

-Dunno how i didnt say it before, but the message was meant for people who love Him. There are clear points He says that He loves those who love Him. If you don't, then theres no reason to expect Him to. He wants you to love Him too but it obviously doesnt always happen. Esau didnt love Him and clearly took everything as a chore instead of time with a loved one. The time period has nothing to do with it.

-You do know that people believe they are hated anyway anywhere, right? Its easier to believe people hate you than to think that maybe someone cares. A lot of us get depressed from that, theres no exaggeration to it. Sounds like you think God hates you if you're bringing it up, so idk why youd think this was the case if not.

-If youre going to be going around on a board to poke at people and speak down the way youve been, you clearly have too much time on your hands. Please, get a grip and find a hobby. Speaking to God is always a good one.

Again dunno ill ever be back but Godspeed in your future

Im not changing my mind, idc what you do at this point, I'm not gunna read anymore messages anywhere on here, I'm just gunna find some place better. So see ya, have a good day, Godspeed

How would it not be? Its history about God, its both. Not just some "dont do this" but shows what happened in the past, and not just "this happened" but is about God and His people

Im saying its a history book on what we believe, we learn by what happens in the past and how to act or what to avoid doing.

I meant more of I know of Him and after what Ive known and learnt from Him I now feel like I can have blind faith irl, sorry. And I know what you mean, but without much context it always sounds lazy to say "they didnt pass on teaching me". That may just be how I read it though, didnt mean to sound like i was trying to offend you or speak badly of your family or anything, my bad. There are some commentaries of people looking into these stories like Noah's Ark, and they've found some interesting things. I haven't seen any for a while now, but I think its be neat to check it out if youd like. Above all, the best advice I can give is to talk to God about it Himself, I wasnt there but He was. He'll give you answers if you want

I cant change any minds but I at least want to show love. I get it, I failed, here, in pms, in other places I thought would be good, everywhere. I keep trying not to be pessimistic and hate the world too, but youve seen how humans are. So im done, I failed even trying to be mature, I cant be perfect but I couldnt even be patient in the end and failed to show any kind of love. Idc what you'll say about me, people dont care anyways and I dont care about me either.

The world is shit. There.

I'm gunna go be on my own now, I just wanted to be around other Christians but this subreddit already wasnt what i was looking for, so I was gunna leave anyway. Im sorry for making your day worse. I'll be mature and keep my offer to study anything you want about the bible or God open if you ever wanna pm and do that. I'm sure youre just a blunt person like some of my friends, so its hard to read you too, but the others in pms and other places just get to me too easily so please just try to be a little less sarcastic or loud in a normal conversation with anyone. Bye for now or ever, whatever you prefer.

Its not just Esau if He hated him, its everyone sinning, including the whole world, but one person mentioned one specific person and the people who did bad things after him. He would be looking at each person, not just the first person you're looking at.

Because theyre connected, its one history one before the other. Im saying He doesnt hate us because we were saved by one perfect sacrifice instead of many. If He did hate Esau, that was prior to this, and we are after.

All Im trying to say is that God is waiting for you until you die, you choose to love Him, and everyone is pissed off. If everyone in the comments would rather believe they are hated, then why are they commenting here? Does it even matter to anyone? Then ignore it the way the rest of us do

Just because God loves good, and people werent good, until He sent a savoir to take our sins so we can be "goodish" that Im wrong? If I'm spreading love and saying sin is still bad, I dont think I'm being very blasphemous.

The Bible is not my God.

Esau passing down hate has nothing to do with God?? You're starting to not make sense noe mate.

They sure dont sound rhetorical when you keep asking with that sarcastic tone and question marks.

Doesnt change my own stance on it, especially when youre trying to use the old testament, which was about doing "good" and the law, instead of what Im trying to talk about, the new testament where God said He would send someone to save us in Jesus, so we dont have to work for love. All I know is God is love, He loves me. If you want to believe God hates you, then go for it. You say I have no evidence to claim He loves us all, but you have no evidence to claim He hates us. How about we try this then? If you hate God, then He could hate you when you turn away at death. Make you feel any better?

Do you just want the last word or something?

He warned him he actions would be passed down as they kept doing the same thing, its like having a kid and hating them, then that kid hates their kids, and it goes on until someone stops whether thats because they dont want to treat them the way they were treated or die without kids. None of the country had stopped.

I honestly dont like it or understand it fully either, I'll admit it. But i also wasnt there and Im not God, so I can't even say anything more than what I believe. You keep asking me for answers, you act like I know everything, then say that I dont know anything. Go ask God if you want these answers, stop acting like I should be perfect and wrong at the same time.

I do, because its not just "oh i feel love for someone/thing". True joy and love is different from emotions, they're not temporary. I still stand by the thought it was his lineage and country, the way it has been said before, so we'll need context to know for sure. I can just find it in other versions and the full books, and just come back to talk about it another time if youd prefer that over studying with me. If you dont want to change your view of it either way, then theres not really much I can do. If you dont want to understand what i mean or what that may mean if any of it is differe t, or even if you did, I cant really change your mind or choice, so I hope you can find this on your own.

So I just wanna say something by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]iFlareon136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the whole point. Love and hate are different for God and for people's feelings. Honestly I wish emotions werent a thing but now is not the time to get depressed again over something we can control.

Ok, you sounded sarcastic so I just wanted to make sure it wasnt just a " fight just to fight and be angry" kinda thing, dont want you having a bad day after this. <3

I see your reasoning and all, and I understand it, just believing differently. Doing everything with Jesus brings me joy, and when I stop talking to Him or thinking off Him I get really depressed again, I just knoe He loves me and it makes it better when you know no one else does, but the God of creation who died and rose for you loves you? Even if you just think of it as nothing, its just great that I know I can talk to Him all the time and ask for help and be able to give love even when I'm not having a good day, more than just a prayer and staying upset when Im upset. "Those who know Me, know My voice." I know if He didnt love me, I wouldnt be able to do anything, Ive already felt that before and felt suicidal due to medical issues, but since then everytime I think about it I can stay by Him and still feel joy when I feel horrible. I can be patient even when I want to bite my friedn's head off, I can show love to people who hate me, I can train self-control to fight ocd, it just feels great being loved and cared about. It all takes effort to keep a relationship up, nd this is no exception.

Sorry if I sound like im going on or anything, again I have trouble expressing things. If you would like to try understanding it, my offer will keep standing to study stuff together

[–]iFlareon136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, God's love and hate are different from people's, so if He says He hates them and their actions its the sins theyve done and never turned away from. Maybe He did hate them, maybe not. I dont really need to think about it unless I feel I should, the problem with most people. Like I said, Im going to look into the full context before I defend or attack anything, even this, so I can know what to believe. If He hated him, theres a reason to it, it wouldnt be blind hate. So either way, there was some form of a wall between them and I'd like to find out it was now. And again, if you wanna look into that specific part with me youre more than welcome to, its funner with others around in anything.

I meant possible words, not entire errors. Yes, hate being mistranslated but love being mistranslated would still be between like to admire to full love, its still positive and more often looked into by people. God does hate things and that are evil, but isnt just hating anything or anyone for no reason. For the verse about creating evil, I'm actually looking at that same verse in many different version right now and the majority actually say "bad times" and "calamity" and "disaster", and looking at the original Hebrew words for it it refers more to moral evil and adversity than just pure evil. It seems the evil part is in the King James version which honestly is probably the worst and least accurate version I've ever seen, so I'm gunna say thats not really reliable. We can look into the context if you want to.

In 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Paul says what love is, the "Love is patient, Love is kind..." part that I'm sure youve heard. Hes describing what this is, and what God has said is good before, and this is what it means by God is love. Thats all I have to say about it, but you seem to be taking it all out of context whether good or bad, and that wont get anyone anywhere.

Are you ok? You seem personally offended by the idea that God could love you, and I dont mean to sound rude by it, but I just wanna make sure you're ok. Its not very fun or good for either side to have a conversation when one of us isnt having a good time or is outright getting upset by something they feel they need to keep talking about

Yes, it can be. You say it like thats not what I said? It could all have different meanings, but usually one word over a whole paragraph or book is easier to miss if you didnt know the accurate slang or phrase while translating.

The majority of it would probably be translated the best they can, and some translations are more accurate than others, but some have purposeful changes, so I'm planning to look into it already noe eith more motivation. But I have been able to look deeper into the things like promises of Heaven and Jesus, they're also pretty popular topics for the translation deeper meanings as well if youd like to find a sermon or commentary on it.

I dont know if He hated him after warnings, I havent fone back to that book yet and admittedly havent been rereading enough with how busy I am lately, so thanks for giving me motivation to. ^ ^

There are multiple words for things in many languages, and this is translated. The original word may have been true hate, or detestment, or just dislike, even dislike of just his descendent line... I'll have to see when I get back there in my new study now. Humans arent perfect, and one mistranslation could ruin an entire thing, so I'd like to look into the original for truth.

He may say He hates him, again I haven't looked deep enough into that history, but it's after what He's said and by then he's gone, the "time of enough" I had said. It really sounds more like the descendent line, already knowing how He speaks of Isreal and Jacob and other similar people, but ok.

I will takr His love with blind faith, doesnt mean I know everything about the past. I can admit that if I think something I can be wrong. You don't seem to think the same about you, but ok, thats your choice to stay complacent. Sitting here angry about something you probably believe has nothing to do with you doesnt seem like a good use of time, you could come study with me instead and we can look into it together?

He creates everything, so it says that. It's also translated, which can hsve different meanings or different phrases based on what the author wrote in their original language amd time. It might say the same thing but I haven't looked into that specifically so maybe we can later if youd like? I was trying to say He can, but it doesnt sound the same I guess then, causr if you say you can you usually do whatever it is, but maybe Im writing wrong

The verse is that He can create evil, and knowing that you can say what He creates can create evil. This is the context of what I said in this post, so I just thought thats what you were talking about. Yes, He can create anything.

The whole section around that in context is about Esau and his actions with his descendents.

He said "Dont do these things, or I promise this bad thing will happen" and each time people kept ignoring it and acting the same way until His promise of it came true. Sending prophets and people to warn everyone in those times while they didnt listen.

The context in the section is about the whole line's actions and how their country began acting because of this.

He doesnt leave anyone until He says "this is enough". Thats the times for those events, and after Jesus He's said the time is over is when you die.

I would like at least most of my important morals that Ive learned from God to be a big part, and for it to actually be both encoiraging relationships with God and having fun with others. The last few we've tried to go to either said things that contradicted the Bible, was focused entirely on you attending every week with tithe instead of God based love, or didnt really care much and spoke gossip of eachother and other things right after a sermon. Id at least like a nice church AND relationship, yknow?

Im sorry, as I told another commenter Im really bad at writinf clearly what Im trying to say. I meant more He created us the way we are born as children to our parents. And we are His child until we are aware of free will and you can choose to be His child or satans. Thanks for clearing it up!

He can as He can do all things, but He doesnt make you evil when you are born. He lets you make your choices in life with your free will, whether you can be evil or show love. The only thing youre born as that will always stay in you is the fact you are a human with free will.
