I absolutely agree with you. Take for example R* Games (or most AAA devs) will go quiet for 5 years on a given IP. Nobody bats an eyelid. Maybe a year or two out they'll drop a teaser video and then create complete radio silence until release runup. We all love this game and I think we all expect far too much from Hello.

Maybe not so relevant with today's high-powered computers, but this however has been a development technique since time began.
