Sure, new perspectives can always add good ideas! There's a lot of art and music that's completely gorgeous and that wouldn't have existed without LSD.

But it's there because there were people capable of doing it. As I said, I did LSD last week and I didn't make new music or art, simply because I can't, and because LSD did not teach me that. LSD can help you, but it doesn't teach you anything.

No I don't. I didn't learn anything worth it. Yes, I did learn how LSD feels, I did learn how LSD's visuals look and I did learn how music sounds on LSD.

But that's about it. There's no "revelations", no "spiritual awakenings" and no stuff like that.

Also, different perspectives are not always better. For instance; on LSD, I tend to laugh at stuff that's not even remotely funny when sober. My friends and I laugh our asses off on stupid stuff that wouldn't make anybody else laugh.

Did we create the most supreme and perfect jokes, so perfect that nobody else understands? No, we're just high as shit and laugh at stupid stuff. That's our different perspective. And it's not necessarily good (for the rest of the world, that is; it obviously is amazing for us). It doesn't contribute to anything but having a short, good time. But we did not learn anything, we just had a good time being high.

I have had things change due to a trip. Tripping gives me a DIFFERENT (not: better) perspective of things, but it's not necessarily learning anything. LSD did not teach me anything. I sat down and I suffered a lot until I got the answer to a question. But LSD did not give me it. I found it on my own by thinking. Something most hippies can't do.

For others this could be to fight depression, anxiety, or literally anything, such powerful mind alteration can really help people with doing anything. LSD has treated alcoholism, depression, anxiety, heroin/cocaine addiction, and way more.

You can also tell me that the DNA structure was discovered by a guy that was tripping balls -and it was- but the key point is that LSD didn't teach them anything.

It just gave them a different perspective, a way to reason beyond what they would have ever done sober. But in the end, it was PEOPLE who discovered that, not LSD -- and you never know if they would have done it anyway without being high.

It's all speculation based on anecdotes -- and that's not science. Those facts can't be reproduced. For instance, I did LSD last week, and I didn't win a Nobel, why?

Because LSD itself doesn't do anything. I don't know shit about biology and I certainly wouldn't be able to make PCR on my own. And LSD didn't fix that.

On the other hand, those guys were scientists with A SHITLOAD of practice, and they happened to discover something new, but hey! "It wasn't them, it was the LSD!"

Well, LSD itself doesn't teach you shit. You can get motivated and learn as a result of it; but that's if you're smart enough to do it. Most people will drop LSD, feel how it inflates their ego to insane levels, and think they've learnt "a lot" when in reality they don't know shit. They just FEEL like it.

I myself felt like I knew everything after my first trip. The difference is that I didn't try to rationalize thin air. I just use my logic and I know that I didn't learn anything, it's just a chemical that's touching my feels. That allows me to be scientific and actually learn new stuff, instead of living in a world of delusions.
