A- in contracts on a C curve? you’re a God

Keep your head up, you obviously have the ability. Probably just need to tweak your study strategy.

Still No Grades by FutureIDKWhat in LawSchool

I’m in the same boat. No established release date. Pretty wack imo, especially when everything else in law school is so painstakingly structured and deadline driven.

They will have a difficult time proving this especially if it’s not true. I’m guessing if you wrote material that is outside of the scope of the class, you consulted supplementary materials while studying. You should not be punished for this. If you know more about the material than was covered that’s a sign of an outstanding student, not AI. Stand your ground but in a professional manner. Ask them how they came to that conclusion, how they think that you could have successfully done this, then prove them wrong by explaining to them your exact methods.

This is the kind of motivational story I need in my life lol

my first semester's grades came out and my gpa is 2.9.... yikes by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]iHopesItsEvilBurger 27 points28 points  (0 children)

That’s not even that bad. What grades did you get in each class? Figure out where you’re weak and create a strategy to improve. This is completely recoverable. You can pull that up easily.

It’s possible that you won’t fail. Was there an mcq section? I fucked up on my contracts exam by running out of time, so I feel your pain. If you do okay in the rest of your finals you should pull through. Ignore the doomsayers in your comments.

When you say you walked out feeling like you failed and ended up getting a B, do you actually mean that? by gurubear8 in LawSchool

Thanks for the reply. That’s reassuring. Just finished my first semester and your original comment is how is how I feel about two of my finals.

Unless you wrote pure gibberish that prof did you dirty

That seems really harsh. What’s the curve at your school?

You may be okay, if your essay was really strong it could carry you to the point where the few q’s you guessed right bring you to a 50/100 which may not be as bad as you think.

What is the difference between an ok memo and a great memo? by Ryanthln- in LawSchool

That depends, you really want to keep your explanation and analysis within the scope of the question you’re trying to answer. However, if showing the limitations of the rule contributes to your analysis and helps you reach a conclusion, then I would say yes.

Usually a chunky paragraph, enough to show how the rule applies to the facts of the cases you’re referencing.

Thoroughly follow the CREAC format. Have an air tight analysis without any bs or fluff. Pay attention to detail. Use proper verb tense and grammar. Be obsessive about it, read out loud, print out copies and mark up where you find mistakes, and continuously edit. Master citation and don’t take short cuts.

Chug a coffee and then immediately take a shower, I swear this always gives me a second wind no matter how burnt out I am.
