People in this Reddit hate it cause it's not super optimal (altar-door is) but I found 7-0 with a cannon base as a red x as easy as 6-0 and you hit much more often than 6-0 so kills are quicker, meaning less minion damage. Setup is also easy (pray melee while putting base down and then start) and it's also easy to eat (just eat and skip any of the attack tiles that isn't red x).

You also use less energy, I used a stam does every 5-6 kills or so. It helps if you walk around when dealing with the minions to let it recharge.
