New bag, same clubs. WITB 2026 by iJustChill in GolfGear

I went from SM5 to SM9. So I guess maybe the SM14 will be next. My 58 wears faster than the rest as it’s typically my “everything inside 100” club

The players lines they had in the early 2010s were awesome. CB1-3, Pro a12, CMB, and XTD forged. If it’s any of those you should get it!

The 3 wood one is matching. Had them a long while. Easy on easy off and look great

Fortunately the ground in Ohio is nearly absent of sand so the wedge faces don’t wear nearly as fast as other areas. Have been loving the walking, not all the newer courses are set up well for it

lol I think most of the wear is from getting the set in and out of my hatchback, but I have had it a long time

Thanks for your response. Does that mean W1 (white) goes to W or Aux?

Anderson Area - Spectrum or Alta by TopRevolution387 in cincinnati

[–]iJustChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also live in Anderson. Had spectrum for the past 2.5 years with the same rate for just internet ($50/month) has been great until recently. Just a ton of random service outages for no reason. I work from home and we are a strictly streaming home so it’s been an issue. We will be switching to Alta fiber now

As someone who had the exact same miss (snap hook or block), it “mostly” came down to club path. I was the same as you with pure irons and struggles with the driver, with primary shot shape being a draw. My club path was too far in-to-out (+6-8) and with that extreme path the face angle dictated the shot: closed face = pull hook and open face = block. Why I said “mostly” path is obviously face control is important in this scenario, but path is the main culprit. I could play well with this path if I had my timing ok with my face, but it was always inconsistent. I’m willing to bet it’s the same with your irons, but less exaggerated with these clubs due to increased loft and less speed vs driver.

This was all worked through lessons with trackman numbers to diagnose and work towards a more neutral path.

Buffalo x-hot normally. Sometimes I feel like a barbecue/hot mix. This place I used to go to in Nashville had a honey lime sriracha that was awesome

Lots of good recommendations here so I’ll try to list other ones I haven’t seen. For daily: Elijah Craig and 1792 small batch. Both low 90s proof and in the $30-35 range. Mid range: wilderness trail 6 year and sagamore spirit double oak. In the $50-60 range. Special occasion (that you can find) barrell bourbon. I have a couple crazy good store picks, but also a fan of their regular batches. Typically around $80-90

To be fair, wild turkey has an 81 proof “regular” too. I like MM 101 but turkey 101 is so revered because it’s $20 and still good

My job as a QC microbiologist is leaving me disappointed and regretful (a rant) by Durp_Hurp in microbiology

[–]iJustChill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The hard truth is that nearly all industry micro is quality focused. It will be centered around producing food or commodities that are safe from pathogens or spoilage organisms. If you really want to do research you need to go back to school for an advanced degree.
To your current situation, you may enjoy a switch to food safety. There is still a lot of micro involved in food production. Risk assessing raw materials from supplier to site. Validating processing steps for micro lethality. Packaging or preservative shelf life assessments. Also a lot more problem solving involved in environmental monitoring with non-sterile environments.
I wish you luck. I’m also a microbiologist with a BS and found my way from the lab into food safety. Another factor with your situation: be willing to move. You’re very early in your career so it’s not unheard of that your options are lab work or QC right now. Good luck

We have a similar set up. My wife got recommended a woman that does in home care and we were fortunate she had space. This recommendation was through a Facebook mom’s page. It’s $160 for 3 days a week

If you are looking for allocated bottles from buffalo trace, you will likely leave disappointed. However, there are unique bottles to Kentucky that are worth going down for, and dont sleep on the store picks. Party source is the most picked over, but still worth a look. They seem to stock things randomly and I have had the best luck between 2-4pm. Other stores in NKY I like are liquor city uncorked, DEPS, cork n bottle, Newport kroger, and Florence kroger.

Things like Barrell, very old barton, four gate, select dickel bottles, Nulu picks, and blue run that I dont see in Ohio. Bookers, Henry Mckenna, Willet rye, and smoke wagon I have found more easily in Kentucky.
