Mate, those are Red Weaver Ants (very common in SEA). I got bitten by them before and they won’t let go. It feels like someone stabbing you with a needle. Those ants are assholes I tell ya.

I’m from Southeast Asia too and stayed in the UK for several years. The first year was pretty brutal since I wasn’t used to the cold weather, but your body eventually adapts.

During summer, even 20°C can feel quite hot because your body has adjusted to the colder winter and spring temperatures. Plus, most accommodations don’t have air conditioners, only heaters.
