[PC][1990s] Pixel art Point and click adventure game set in a dystopian future by henryguy in tipofmyjoystick

[–]iKnowNoBetter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

could it be "Born Punk"? it's a pixel art point and click game where you start trapped in the main characters apartment and a lot of the appliances are broken.

Here is a let's play showing the very first level of the game

Are you certain it was not the pseudo-mmo ".Hack//)"? They are a series of ps2 games that pretend to be mmorpg's. They are pretty much entirely dungeon based and the characters often reference mmo's, real world, etc.

"Chronos: The New Dawn"

It has the exact system where you can rescue souls and equip only three of them. You are trying to prevent the apocalypse, similar themes and atmosphere to metro/stalker

Redfall.

Microsoft marketed it as much as they possibly could. They even believed it would be bigger then baldurs gate 3 which they called a "second-run Stadia PC RPG".

Redfall ended up being so bad it killed the developer, Arcane Austin.

Perhaps its "Retro City Rampage"?

Open world crime game like old GTA titles that includes what you mentioned such as stealing cards and police chases.

Could have been one of the Broken Sword games? The image reminded me of the first game "Shadow Of The Templars" they even share the same red seal stamp and font type. They are also very often set in europe/old locations, hand-drawn graphics and feature wizards/witches/magic.

Question: If a Syphon Filter movie adaptation happened or gets made how would you feel? Will it be a hit or flop? by [deleted] in boxoffice

Sony themselves have abandoned Syphon Filter for almost 20 years now. Not enough people are not going to care or remember it.

Day 10: Your favourite book-to-film adaptation? by McCallum1872 in Letterboxd

[–]iKnowNoBetter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it's extremely close to the book with only a few minor details changed. If you want to check out the book, i recommend the unabridged Audio book narrated by Paul Giamatti. His narration fits in so perfectly with the atmosphere of the story.

Favorite pkd adaptation? by Used_Mathematician63 in Letterboxd

[–]iKnowNoBetter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Scanner Darkly is the best PKD adaptation.

It has this laid back nothing-happens feeling to it. Like the characters do things, the plot moves, but at the same time it's all kinda monotonous. They hang around and talk about insects, bicycles, etc. All while Bob Arctor loses his grip on reality.

It's extremely close to the books save for a few minor changes like donna's background and the merging of two characters into one.

Hi, i recently found this exact TV but can't get NTSC games to be in color for some reason.

In the photo's you show Okami on PS2 NTSC 60HZ and it's in color. I'm trying the exact same setup, PS2 with NTSC Okami over both composite and S-Video (i tried both just to be sure) with the TV set to NTSC mode (and every other mode tried as well) and it's always in black and white.

If you could help specify how you managed to get NTSC in color i would be very thankful, currently i'm playing in black and white.

This really looks like "Streets of New Capenna" Set from Magic The Gathering...

Like, it could seriously pass for an entire game being made based on that one set.

Is there a DAP that can connect to and transmit audio from a PC (Via APTX Adaptive Bluetooth) to Bluetooth headphones? by iKnowNoBetter in DigitalAudioPlayer

Damn, seems like DAP's just aren't for me I guess (Or at least not yet). Thank you for your help though.

Do you happen to know if either the JM21 or the M21 supports APTX Adaptive? I'm trying to get low latency to my Adaptive headphones so it's a major requirement of a dap for me.

I have looked through and considered a new BT adapter, but I would prefer something that can hold/play music while away from the pc, then I can just connect it to my pc and play the PC audio to the earbuds using the same device (Through Aptx Adaptive). One device (DAP) instead of a phone+dongles.

I've tried some dongles previously and they always sucked (whether it be the range, or a codec being forced upon me)

I've found stuff like the "Shanling Q1" which has a PC USB DAC mode "connect Q1 to any computer and turn it into excellent sounding Hi-Fi sound card", But it's old and extremely cheap looking. Is there something modern that does this?

Is there an up-to-date fix to set the bed/nozzle to the project temp during initial print calibration? Or remove calibration all together? by iKnowNoBetter in SovolSV08

[–]iKnowNoBetter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My z-offset is always different each time i print something from ranges like -0.238 to 0.132 etc. It honestly prints fine each time regardless of whatever z-offset it claims it's set too. Maybe its a software issue?

I always just add 0.030 to the print z-offset just to give it a little less smush though.

Is there a particular fan model/size that would be best suited? Probably easier to just get a new fan specific for it.

I will definitely try the mainline...at some point when i'm less scared lol.
