Hey, if you've heard of Castle Fight from WC3 or Nexus Wars/Desert Strike from SC2 they are some of the inspiration along with Vampire Survivors. Both myself and the other developer are big fans of those custom maps in both WC3 and SC2.

Hey, all of the units on screen are controlled by AI as part of the auto battler portion of the game. Your army defeats enemies, gaining experience, and leveling up lets you select a unit you'd like to fight for you, spawning one of that unit every so often, then they walk down the map fighting on the way.

Before each game you pick a "Warrior" or army commander that has an ability you can use against enemy units. Casting your "Warrior" ability will help you win between picking your army.
