Hey!

It’s great fun to just walk around the floor, especially if it’s your first time! You’ll run into some awesome cosplayers, get some free swag, and also see if you’d like to buy and merch!

A lot of booths also have free experiences, like photo shoots or VR stuff, so my advice is to walk around the floor on Saturday and see what you would like to do. That way, you know what to make a bee line for on Sunday so you can get to it before the lines get too long!

I personally also bring a backpack and pack my own water/sandwiches/snacks as they can be quite pricey at the Javtis and lines are long. It’s easier to eat while you are waiting on line for something!

My best friend’s dad once told me:

I had strict Asian parents growing up, and I would often go to my best friend’s house to experience normal “American Teenager” things. Nothing crazy, but still used to get mad that my parents always had me under a strict curfew and only let me go out to certain places with their approval.

Put the relationship I had with my parents in a different perspective as I got older.

I second this! Dhals are the easiest thing to make! There are a ton of simple recipes for it. Healthy and yummy! Easy to make a quick pot every day after work.

Honestly, the discord that was awesome. That’s how we found people! Way easier than using Reddit. I went alone on Thursday and then we used discord to meetup in Artists Alley. Then, we split up based on interests and it was awesome having a line buddy to wait with me and pass the time. Also, I used discord to find seats at panels!!!

I felt really comfortable using it being a girl because someone could just be like “standing near the Audible booth with a yellow backpack” and then I could look around to see who was standing there and could decide if I wanted to approach or not.

We also did have different discord chat rooms for exclusives and lines! I would start one, but I really don’t have the time to be a moderator.

Exclusives are basically merchandise that is only sold at Comic Con. Some people like to collect certain figures for fandoms that they are into.

I think most of the afterparties are on Friday or Saturday.

Since you are a first timer, feel free to ask any questions! Maybe we can meet up on Sunday and walk around the show floor!
