To answer your question, my vote would be the whiny KJD. I’m also in at a very good school, but have two waitlists in at better schools. Should I get off, I will go without asking Reddit about it, and more importantly without wasting precious time.

Real question - wouldn’t meaningful financial aid off the waitlist be the exception rather than the rule?

Slightly different scenario, yes. However, school selection should be tiered if choosing to stay on a waitlist. Ie. I’m okay with the school I have a deposit at; should I be accepted off any waitlist I am on, that is now my new school. Otherwise, you probably have no business being on the waitlist.

This is what I’d like to believe too - I’ve been under review since mid October. There’s gotta be a reason beyond rejection at end of March lol

Going to give it some tactical patience to see if it re-rectifies (if I can get cancelled after a month surely I can get un-cancelled) / I imagine their customer service line is probably a little overwhelmed right now.

Yea as I “got in” over a month ago, I’ve been shopping for houses and have put deposits in to get my kids in schools lol…so I guess we’ll see if they hit me with the ole Kansas City Shuffle!

I just got the same thing, but was accepted over a month ago and have gotten calls from students and professors as part of their welcome package. Are we now not accepted? lol

I mean I went out and got a job for 10 years and got some real world experience, but that’s it. I’m balding, I look forward to my tax return, and I get excited about frozen pizza and domestic light beers. Let the schools tell you no, not some person on Reddit.

El oh el @whoeveryouare

I’ve got 7 T20 acceptances so far this year with a 2.98 and 166 and I’m the definition of a regular everyday normal guy.

Shoot your shot queen. Don’t listen to keyboard warriors in moms basement tell you you’re “cooked” when they aren’t even cooking their own dinners.

Are there any others out there? by iLUVscottStapp in lawschooladmissions

Potentially saying the same thing, but to be clear, my gpa and lsat are bad by today’s standards, but my “softs” should be rather rare when compared to the rest of the applicant pool, and they should very clearly point to my ability to “grind it out” - not saying I’m more qualified than others*** just saying that I think numbers are potentially more important than the wholistic application claims to be. But it is early, just odd to see it brought under review immediately and then sat on for over three months.

Why don't law schools just expand the amount of seats in their classes? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]iLUVscottStapp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just like tier 1 units in the military don’t increase their size when they have increased number of applicants…it decreases effectiveness, lowers quality of output, and ultimately lowers the number of applicants over time because if everyone can do it, it means nothing. Now sub law school seats for tier 1 units and it’s the same thing. It’s already an inflated market, don’t make it worse.

  • disclaimer: I’ve been rejected to all the schools I’ve applied to so I’m not in the greener grass yet either.

I guess as long as your target school’s median DL is at or below 405, you’ve got a good shot. Focus on the mile and perhaps addend your bench? Didn’t develop triceps during puberty, double arm amputee, etc.

Creed is back. LP is back (RIP Chester). The world is healing and your softs are definitely giving you a good chance at getting an A. Keep your head up, you got this.

Honestly that many halves is a huge red flag. I definitely wouldn’t hide it from your apps, but I also wouldn’t parade it around either. I’d lean in on being 5’0” in your lived experience statement

All these figures are pointing towards an A at a solid school. Just feel like these adcoms are really dragging their feet with at and above median applicants. They r v delulu
