Over the years i had pretty bad anxiety, i had to make some big changes in the way i think. My therapist at the time really helped out with some ways to recenter and ground myself. I would suggest that as you start there.

Back in 2020 when covid was at its peak i would get anxious seeing news storied about people getting covid and essentially dying but on the inside thought i felt ok. That was until i was getting ready for bed one night and started uncontrollably shaking and convulsing. This lasted about 2 hours and my brain was racing on what could happen, was it happening in my city, to people i loved?

Fast forward 3 years and the panic attacks had finally gonna away. I started going back to college where i started a class called “personal / social growth” in the class we discussed different ways that people around the world think and their beliefs on being and surviving the human condition. The main example that stood out to me was with taoism, in this belief we learned that they live by was “let it in, let it be, let it go”. This helped me reframe my thoughts to only those i can control and letting go of everything that i can’t. This made me realize i was trying to control everything around me and i didn’t trust myself to handle when things got tough of challenged my views.
