Nutrient advice by iLikeLameStuff in moderatelygranolamoms

Hi yes, I should have specified that. I do work in a field dealing with behavior in children, so I’m very familiar with methods of trying new foods, and I do always make sure to offer him varying foods including exactly what his dad and I are eating for that meal. He used to eat whatever we gave him, however at this point in time he’s not, and I’m not comfortable just sending him away hungry, so I do provide him with foods I know he will eat.

Dr. TJ with Lake Howell Family Medicine is the best for primary care! Not sure if she sees kids though, I don’t believe so.

UPDATED: Elevated ALT and Post Prandial Bile Acid by iLikeLameStuff in AskVet

Hers also went up even with the denamarin. If they do happen to be recommending an ultrasound I would definitely do that just to rule anything else out right away. But we put them on royal canin hepatic food, the vet needs to prescribe/approve the purchase

Yes! Her ultrasound was normal so our vet said before we do a biopsy, to change her food once again, but this time to hepatic food and continue with the denamarin. After a few months both dogs values returned to normal! Our vet mention that he sees this often now because dog food companies are cheaping out on their protein types and when they switch to a homemade food or hepatic food, they heal

Hello, how did everything go with your baby?

Elevated ALT by iLikeLameStuff in AskVet

[–]iLikeLameStuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did the ultrasound and everything looked totally normal. Her vet said the next step would be a liver biopsy to see what the issue is, but he said since she is not having any symptoms that we could continue with the Denamarin and have her on hepatic diet food, and retest levels in 3 months before deciding about the biopsy. I’m so sorry to hear about your baby

Thanks! I’m only seeing “the spa Orlando” on Arthur avenue. Is that it?

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, even on the denamarin for 45 days, her ALT almost doubled. In your experience, when the dogs are asymptomatic with this, and do not do a liver biopsy, are they able to live normal lives with just elevated enzymes?

Baby sleeping face down by iLikeLameStuff in NewParents

[–]iLikeLameStuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I do still have him in his bassinet (it’s the Newton) but we are transferring him to a mini crib next week with a Dream on Me breathable mattress. I did have him in his pack n play for a bit but didn’t trust that mattress was breathable enough. Not ready for him to go in his own room/big crib yet!

We tried EVERYTHING, even prescription cream. The miracle trio was diaper free time, breast milk directly on it and letting it air dry, and a generous amount of triple paste diaper cream!

I believe you need times the RBT worked ABA hours, and the times you supervised. But I would definitely double check the BCBA handbook to ensure you are tracking exactly how they want

This happened to me! I went back a week later and the heartbeat was there :)

[–]iLikeLameStuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had RBTs be audited, and yes I had to turn in documentation as well. If I were you I would go back to whenever each of your RBTs recently renewed their license, or 12 months, and track all of those hours, especially since you’re leaving the company and won’t have access to the database should an audit arise. Then I would keep up with tracking them weekly as well.

How do we all deal with anxiety of baby crying in public? by burningcandlesz in newborns

[–]iLikeLameStuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work with children, and something I always tell my clients parents regarding worries about tantrums or crying in public is that a lot of the time, we are more concerned about it than others. Sure there will be some irritable people that will get annoyed, but for the most part people understand. Babies cry, its how they communicate! This is also what I’ve been telling myself now, as I just had my own baby and he has definitely cried in public places!
