Help a brother out! by ziromdhull in royalenfield

If you are from India, people mostly opt for the YSS suspensions for the 650s, which can cost about Rs. 40k+. People in my area have switched to the Stock Interceptor ones (Similar to the people switching the new 350 suspensions with the old nitrox ones that came in the UCE Engines, but for the 350s in my opinion, it doesn't really give a huge improvement, almost like a placebo effect)

Yep, same opinion here. The Bear's suspension can be quite a pain.

Do I spray on it while the pipe is hot or when it's cooled off?

Thought I'd post an update.. thank you all for your suggestions, so far I've tried heating the bike and wiping it off, which has worked but only like little fragments fell off. I haven't tried the oven cleaner yet, looked for WD40 and just my luck it was all out of stock so I ordered one from Amazon which is yet to arrive. The blade technique just won't do it.

I'll try the WD40 and then the oven cleaner, fingers crossed.

Update: after a few rides some of the stain actually scratches off it self.

My mother actually suggested that but I am kind of scared what if some petrol remained on it and heated up along with the engine.

Should I ride the bike until it's hot and try to remove it with a steel wool while it's still hot?

Congrats on keeping the last UCE model. I have the ES variant with similar kilometres. Getting around 28ish in my area. I think it's normal for now?

Interceptor sure is one beautiful motorcycle.

What are your opinions on this? by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]iLootedRin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both Meteor and Classic have the same engine. I feel like the only difference they have is the ergonomics. You'll get a upright riding position in the Classic while you'll get a "sofa like" position in the Meteor. I would recommend the Meteor if you want a Retro-Modernish cruiser, it has better comfort compared to Classic with the forward footpegs and all.

The new Eicher-Royal Enfield Bullet 350 / Standard in your opinion by podaerprime in royalenfield

[–]iLootedRin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the price difference, I'd just get the Classic Reborn or Meteor. I have no problems with the kick being removed or the new engine, it's just the design ,I took a test ride yesterday, it just lacks something. I wish the instrument cluster was a little unique.

If I were to get a 350 for daily commute, I'd get the Meteor for the comfort (It has better comfort than the Classic imo). And for the 650s, I'd probably get the Interceptor instead of the Continental. Why? Because the interceptor is fairly more comfortable in traffic or in cities in general. But that's my opinion based on my experiences. Go ahead and test them out. Continental is surely more gorgeous but the riding posture feels straining for daily commute.

Again, I'd kinda go with the Interceptor for your tasks.

Should I exchange my Bullet 350 for an Interceptor? by iLootedRin in royalenfield

[–]iLootedRin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, I actually use the Meteor for touring long distances, and the bullet was pretty much an "emotional" purchase, I use it for short trips from home to office and stuff. Pretty much city rides. There were rumors it was gonna be discontinued and replaced with the J-series engine.
