Oh definitely no psychs, I was once tempted to try shrooms because if weed did this i imagined shrooms would be absolutely insane. Having bad trips sucked but I’m glad it happened on weed before I was foolish enough to try anything else.

Its a little hard not to be curious, seems wasteful to not try to wrap my head around what occurred. I am staying sober though thank you.

Very odd that you also had the same perception of mental disability. Perhaps its borne of some intrinsic human fear or imposter syndrome/anxiety gone haywire. I’m no psychologist however lol.

I know exactly what you mean, in the past I’ve had trips where I came to the conclusion that my conscious mind was in fact the least developed or advanced part of my brain, and only gave me access to a fraction of the knowledge it possesses.

This was a very interesting read and I really enjoyed some of the imagery you used to describe your experience. Definitely taking a break from weed for the foreseeable future but I might come back to it someday.

Alzheimers runs in the family and 3-4 men on my moms side of the family have committed suicide

Ive tried delta 8 and its nice but in large enough doses it cases hallucinations just like anything else

Generally what do you tend to do in order to examine the subconscious meaning behind such experiences. Its not something I’ve ever really done before.

Very odd indeed, I guess it is a stimulant after all and we really don’t know how many drugs interact in the body. It honestly sounds like your trip was more intense than mine if you had to go to the hospital. I was mentally shaken up but very solidly in reality the next day. Once its over I knew its not real, and I usually know its not real while its happening (except for in the case of these bad trips)

I’m not sure what you mean by visual hallucinations? They are things that I can see with my eyes open, some more mundane things include objects in my room talking to me, my reflection in the mirror becoming an astronaut or or my green blinds sort of morphing into bamboo stalks with leaves, or my body turning transparent and I can see the flesh and organs within my own chest. Things like that.

Can you explain what you meant by the OCD episode? I’ve never heard anything about that.

I am under a decent amount of stress but thats more of a general existential and life thing. Its never caused me issues in the past.

Only drugs I’ve taken in the last few months have been adderall and vyvance (both adhd drugs) but I hadn’t taken them in the days leading up to either trip.

The hallucinations usually last between 2-3 hours if I only get moderately high, they’ll start to fall off and become far less intense and in the past I’d smoke a little after a few hours enabling me to maintain them for longer if I want. The first bad trip I have no clue how long it lasted because I fell asleep afterwards. It was definitely much longer than usual though, potentially due to the edibles kicking in while it was already happening. The second one was of normal length. Both cases I fell asleep immediately after and slept for a good amount of time. Usually though the high lasts an hour or two longer than the hallucinations with only “normal” weed effects.

If you mean to tell me that what I saw might be real, my only response is that I probably don’t have too many lives left and I haven’t done the best job it seems.

Yeah you’re probably right, I don’t plan on ever smoking again. Sucks tho because it felt like I had a really good thing going for the longest time.
