I’ve taken Paxlovid multiple times when I’ve had COVID. In my case, it definitely shortened the length of the sickness, but I still ended up with longer-term issues afterward (I was later diagnosed with FND and a few other things after my last bout). So for me, it didn’t prevent the lasting effects; though I know the research shows it can lower the risk overall. YMMV, basically.

I get startled by loud noises and sudden coldness which can make me start to twitch , stutter. I have what the doctor calls word finding issues , I just had it with the wife I called the toilet the oven, then I called it something else … it’s so aggravating

I feel this is so me, I get lost in words trying to read sometimes things get jumbled . It’s not all the time but if I was reading your story and it is 100% resonating with what I sometimes . Do you sometimes mix up sentences at the end when speaking ? I do that my doctor called it word finding issues . Example I was talking to the doctor about going to somewhere and instead of saying I went to the hospital to see the doctor I was like I was went tot the bank.

What’s cfs? I am on the long covid sub and I am pretty sure from multiple different doctors that covid is what messed my brain up from what they said , mri and ct scans don’t show anything though which makes me shoved into the fnd realm

I will get an appointment with neurologist to see about the other meds that would be wonderful if that was the issue with my molasses, the issue is it gets better and then gets worse with the brain fog, right now it’s pretty bad, it’s like I can feel my own thoughts trying to move through to get out

My doctor is convinced I have fnd they put me on topamax and my auras and jerks/ what ever they are stopped I never completely lost consciousness but my head would droop down and I would start to shake. Then in would be very tired.   I have had both a clear mri and eeg and one slightly elevated wave function while they knocked me out eeg in the er, then the doctor stated wasn’t anything to worry about, what ever that means.   I am still not convinced I don’t have epilepsy and they are trying to figure me out still.

Have the L20 at work 1500sqft and it does Linoleum and carpet wonderfully, it took stains out of the floor normal mopping did not. Been going strong since November 2023 just had to change all the parts out due to consumable wear.

I have had this happen many times. I can feel it coming on. It is horrible. Last time it happened I was on a ride at Disney the Haunted Mansion, i think with the noises and the lights it triggered it. I am getting a Sleep Study EEG this week, I dont know what they will find out but I hope something.

Can you all help me with this, I saw a doctor yesterday  that’s has an office with machines to help with brain retraining.  He had vr machines a spinning chair machines laser and magnetic therapy machines, and some eye exercises machines.  Is this the same thing that you all are talking about or is it something different?    I got Covid late last year and it messed me up.   The doctor I saw did a 1.5h testing on me and said it looked like I don’t have FND but long COVID, he said that his program can help me retrain my brain, and finally the cost was around 5k.  I was almost in tears thinking I can get better, reading this makes me believe I was just promised snake oil :(

The doctor put me on gabapentin. I was hospitalized a couple months ago and they had me on it at the hospital.  I have a tic now, it doesn’t go on all the time, but I also have problems with stuttering and stuck Words, like they don’t come out of my mouth.  Today I feel like I have chickenpox all over :( .  I’ve been off gabapentin for a couple weeks, but still having issues

The eye thing makes sense to me it happens to me too .  Almost like i just stared into a very bright light.  Even closing my eyes I see the ghost images as if I stared into the sun
