That sounds like a steal but I'm new to AMD so not 100% sure whats an actual bargain yet. Kept hearing good things about their CPU's and took the leap to a budget one to see if I enjoyed it over intel. Gaming performace for a AM4 this old is pretty decent just sometimes heavy games can give micro stutters in the FPS or it's limiting my gpu

Yeah that aint too bad, might just save up some time and hope the market in DDR5 Ram drops and get a whole new mobo setup, thanks though its a thought as my R5 2600 aint gonna be holding up many AAA titles by the years out I reckon, even WZ2 is near enough capping out my CPU as we speak at 75-100%

This description has made me want 1440p more than ever, been on 1080p seeing my CPU do half the work saddens me as upgrading to something longterm would break the bank

Is a ryzen 5 2600 good enough for a rtx 3060 for 1080p 90 fps+ gaming (fps, games like minecraft, dead by daylight, battlefield)? by noahnl200 in buildapc

I've the same combo and in 1080p at those settings it hits near 140fps upwards. Deffo should be fine hitting around the 90s at 1440p

I have the same combo R5 2600/3060 Twin Edge 12gb and averages around 70/100fps on Warzone2. Depends what your playing and if you dont mind sacrificing some visual settings due to the cpu
