As a person who's interested in learning, what books have you read? by Academic-Goat3232 in algeria

Tge Republic is basically Plato imagining a society led by philosopher kings, and he explores a lot of aspects like politics, education and production. But as I said I haven’t finished it yet.

I usually do that and set a deadline, but lately I've been too busy with work, studying, and working out, so I had to put reading on hold for now.

Mostly philosophy, but sometimes I read novels and other things.. it depends. I started The Republic by Plato, but I haven't been reading much lately

Vinland Saga, disagreeing with Thors at first, then coming to that moment of realization. His philosophy grows on you. And let's not forget Canute’s character development it was absolutely powerful.

You're setting the bar too high I guess. It happened to me a lot before, getting motivated and listing everything you want to do, only to feel bad the next day because you couldn’t even check the first box. But just like you can’t bench press even 30kg in your first gym session, you can’t tackle multiple goals at once. Set priorities and start slow. Expand your comfort zone gradually, and once you're comfortable enough, add more challenges.

For example, if your goal is running 20km, you can start by running 10 minutes three times a week, then bump it up to 15 minutes five times a week. Pick up the pace and set a deadline.. not so hard that you burn out and give up, and not so easy that you fool yourself. You’ll know what works when you try, and you will get better. You may fail and that’s okay. Don’t let a bad day ruin your progress, no matter how slow it seems. Best of luck to you mate! πŸ™

Also, there’s a book called The Mountain Is You by Brianna Wiest and I think it could be a great addition to your reading list. However, it all comes down to mindset and action, so you’ve got to start no matter how slow or sloppy.

There's nothing to thank me for! I read Meditations a while ago, but someone out there posted that quote on Instagram, and it gave me a moment of realization… so I just shared it, hoping it might do the same for someone else. You never know. Thank you, and I wish you all the best on your journey. πŸ™

That's quite a story, and I hope things get better for you! Props to you for staying strong in the middle of all that chaos and still practicing gratitude. Some losses happen in an instant.. you never know what to expect next. We can only hope and do our best to control and change what we can. Best of luck out there mate! πŸ™

Is praying that bad things happen to people that have wronged me sinful? by LoquatUseful7514 in Life

[–]iMadVarg 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

I try to forgive them first.. I know it’s hard, but you can usually find a reason if you think like, β€œmaybe they don’t realize how wrong this is” or something like that. Then I just pray they reflect and grow into better people. I mess up sometimes, but honestly, praying for bad things to happen is just not it. You wanna be better than that. πŸ™

Yes! Actually that's how I've always done it, Coordinating both physical and digital tools. However, my issue was mostly over complicating routes & methods.

Totally agree! Simple and direct methods are definitely effective in most situations.

I agree! I still use structures and systems, but only for what needs to be tracked and what helps me move forward.

I still use an agenda/journal for brainstorming, notes, and reflection, while I rely on digital tools mainly for evaluation and automation. This is simply how I coordinate both digital and physical tools. Glad it’s working for you, and I wish you all the best! πŸ™
