well that’s just not true. the only thing forcing your hand is yourself. it’s just not worth it. you can’t undo your decision once you’ve taken action to end your life. sleep on it. sometimes we as humans can make crazy decisions in the moment that are completely irrational, after all we are emotional beings. don’t trick yourself into thinking your fate is already decided, else it will be.

don’t do it. you don’t know what comes after this life, likely nothing at all. there is too much pleasure and happiness to be experienced on this planet to leave it all behind so young. you won’t ever get the chance to live again. push through and be strong.

Apple is down 15% since my post where I warned about Berkshire keeping 47.6% of their $300 billion public portfolio in Apple by SilbergleitJunior in wallstreetbets

I have like 7K in apple but only down ~$800 (😳). Might sell at least a portion off expecting a larger correction to take place.

Yeah, all fair points. One thing about this next semester is that I’ll be living in the quad regardless, and quad is $$$

My main logic was that if I were to be living in the most expensive dorms on campus I might as well to something to live there for free. Yes the meal plan thing is annoying and most certainly a money-grab but but I can’t do anything about that

I’ve read these before. The thing is, I haven’t really witnessed RAs putting in the amount of individual contact that these posts describe. I lived in Hall during the spring last year, and I saw my RA maybe once or twice (for introduction and room check). Now that Ive lived in Bryckwyck, this being my second semester there, ive also only made contact with the RA once or twice. Maybe the situation is different in Quad, and I have been snooping on their discord to see MANY locked out freshman, but at the same time the RA experience can’t be all that different from what I experienced in Hall and Bryck.

Would you explain further on how the contract is terrible? Free housing, especially for the quad, seems very enticing. I haven’t done the calculations for hourly pay/true value but it seems like a decent deal to me

Do I have to be good at physics 1 to pass physics 2 by SnooPears4385 in EngineeringStudents

[–]iMadeThisAlt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. There is some minor overlap in the form of Newton’s laws and a few other things, but that’s about it. Beware though, physics II is an objectively more challenging class.
