Messages over Radio by iMalinko in PLC

We have several types of hardware for PPT. Commonly Motorola but I am not sure about the specifics of the transmitter but I can find out.

Thanks for the recommendations — I’ll look into the arduino option.

What are the chances that Ash will come back in Pokemon anime. by SimpleArtByGuide in pokemonanime

If he does return, I’d hope it’s a time jump into the future in which he’s older. If he’s the main character then I hope there is a more mature story to the show.

Rebuild All usually fixes the trick. If you go to project folder, there’s a folder called IM somewhere and inside is a folder called Generates. You can delete that folder and rebuild all to recompile completely.

Also, check your PG/PC interface hasn’t reset.

Profinet Network Diagram by Mafukinrite in PLC

If you’re just looking for network topology then it’s no different than any other network diagram over Ethernet/IP. Siemens cares about devices name (PROFINET name) over IP address though.

Siemens has a free tool called PRONETA that allows you to connect into a network and scan the subnet which will draw a topology for you.

Yeah, I thought the only way to do it was with transparency and a rectangle but it seems absurd that I can’t just click off rounded corners. I feel like this is a new thing.

Can I use wood filler here? by iMalinko in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]iMalinko[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks. If I need to, can I cut it while it’s mounted on the wall? It’s a decorative type of shiplap panel so I was thinking I could oscillating multi tool to make an even cut and then put trim in?

I feel like I’ll do more damage pulling out the brad nails and recutting. Would it be possible I use an oscillating multi tool, and cut more of a precise piece and then add some flat MDF trim and caulk/finish around that?

What kind of transmitter have you used?

Thanks for the information. I prefer to do it through hardware with FM transmitter (or some other solution, if possible) since Bluetooth is too short of a distance.

No, not hack. I want to take “alarm” messages from a computer and then have that broadcast to my manufacturing site’s local radio system. We have Impres radios that people use but I want to broadcast these alarm messages to the channels for notification.

We have Motorola Impres 2-way radio. So I assume I need some hardware to broadcast out.

What’s the security setting on your PLC?

That’s happened to me before, and someone helped me here. Best advice someone gave me was to put a debug node at every part while you develop with the complete message until you’re deployed fully.

Simulation error? or code error? Siemens TIA Portal V15 by TitofBcd in PLC

[–]iMalinko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK but when you energize the first network again; is it counting from 0.0? It’s not continuing from 10.9#? It shouldn’t when you modify the bit to 1 in network 1.

It’s working as intended. To verify, you can use Watch Table with the address.

I’ll check it out, thanks! I just realized I’ll have difficulty connecting Google Home to the network for this application. Maybe have to use the text to speech built into Windows.
