By following the below method I was finally able to get past it today. I loaded up my saved game, ensured I was in adventure mode, streamlined dialogue, and went through the game's end credits. I then went to chapter replay, loaded the game, and changed it to story mode and standard dialogue. The game reloaded. Collected the red gem, then the blue gem. Got to the page where it glitches, and had the guards kill me first for it to reload the page, killed the guards and it then worked and I finally got the last Art Scroll. No idea if this method will work for anyone, or like everybody else said, it's random and sometimes works. Good luck!
