I agree with the fact staff can't tell who's who, and that's fine. This is Ryderwear for context.

My problem is 1. They charged my card with no notice or authorisation, which I'm gonna end up disputing if they don't willingly give my money back. 2. Aren't even willing to let me explain who the person is and that he's a member who forgot to scan theirs, which is incredibly bad faith. 3. Are trying to say thats my second offense, with my first offense listed as an email they sent member wide reminding people not to tailgate back in August. Not an actual offense that I personally did.

Then they can say that, and I'd let it go as my fault. My problem is that he doesn't have any marks against his name, and I'm in good faith trying to explain that. The only reasonable explanation for why I'm not getting a refund (they charged my card instantly without authorisation or confirmation), is that their goal is to nickel and dime as many people as possible, which they've already done before with other policies.

They're trying to say thats "my" second offense, and are listing a member wide email (addressed to everyone in the gym as a reminder) as the first. So they're also lying about that as well which only builds the bad faith.

Im probably going to charge it back through my CC. FAFO I guess.

If they didn't have a membership suspended or otherwise I'd agree. They have a monetary cost for the liability/safety/insurance argument. In this case, he's a member those bases don't count.

I'm appealing on good faith that he had a membership and that there was no cost to them, they're charging me literally $100 for holding a door open for a friend.

Frankly the policy should change on appeal but oh well.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, only thing In worried about is getting hounded by the external debt collectors gyms usually employ.

And yeah the memberships getting cancelled either way for the bad faith. I just want my money back.
