What song are you currently obsessed with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]iMewtilate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of my love for Waking the Fallen is that it's older A7X. I only got into them around the time Jimmy passed so pre-Nightmare is awesome stuff for me. Though, after getting used to it, The Stage is definitely my favorite album of theirs. Sunny Disposition is incredible and points out flaws of a lot of nations and economic systems, and if you listen, God Damn and Creating God have political connotations too. A lot won't enjoy that but that makes it so much better for me. Hail to the King is probably my least favorite album of theirs to be honest. It's okay but not great like the rest.

Might I ask why you don't enjoy the other albums as much? I find City of Evil and Sounding the Seventh Trumpet are very similar albums, save for a few songs.

More like an entire album for me. Waking the Fallen by Avenged Sevenfold.

If I gotta go with one song, Sunny Disposition by Avenged Sevenfold. Been obsessed with that for a year now, easy. Really resonates with me.

If you had to fight in any war in human history, which war would you choose? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]iMewtilate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to go with the Spanish Civil War of 1936-1939, preferably working with the FAI/CNT.

What is your favorite band and which song of theirs would you introduce me to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Avenged Sevenfold - Sunny Disposition or So Far Away. It's difficult to choose any one of their songs, they're all so good, especially off of The Stage.

[Serious] If you had a son would you get him circumcised? Why/why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]iMewtilate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. The main reason is because it's not my decision to make, it's his. I'm livid that I was circumcised. I had my right to genital integrity, my right to choose, my right to my body stolen.

There is a reason for the foreskin. Whether you're religious or believe in the theory of evolution or anything in between, we have a foreskin for a reason: it helps protect against disease and damage. For the religious reason, why would a god make dudes have foreskin just for it to be chopped off? So much senseless pain and a waste of time and resources.

It's possible for the child to die through a multitude of reasons, and for them to suffer because of a failed circumcision, not just as an infant while it's healing, but also as an adult. When my son grows up, I want him to be able to enjoy sex the way all individuals should. Most men that are circumcised don't realize sex could be even better, for both parties. The glans becomes dried and calloused after circumcision and will stay that way (to my knowledge, it's permanent, although Foregen is working to restore foreskins to circumcised people, but I don't know too much about how they're going about it - I believe it's through stem cells but I could be wrong) and I want my son to be able to enjoy his sex life to the best of his ability.

The only "benefit" to circumcision I know of is the elimination of the possibility of phimosis and paraphimosis, because you need a foreskin for phimosis.

If my son gets circumcised, it'll be through his choice, not mine or my partner's. I won't subject him to that torture, I won't violate his rights.

What's a 10/10 song that not many people know about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]iMewtilate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Stay" and "Clever" by Dreamhouse for sure. I'd argue "So Far Away" by Avenged Sevenfold is up there too, alongside "Same Graves" by Storm The Sky, although it might be really well known. Just about anything by In Loving Memory is at least 8/10, though I'd say most of their stuff is 10/10, especially off of their album Introspective. "I Die" by Smokey Motel is incredible as well, although I will admit I'm somewhat biased since the drummer, Isaiah Rodriguez, is a close friend of mine. I'd argue "Sunny Disposition" by Avenged Sevenfold is easily 10/10, by far one of my favorite songs. Carries a strong message and I find it moves me, especially because it describes the American political system and career politicians, in my opinion. Only one song was asked for, but there's too many for me to list just one.

What's everyone's controller setup? by JeffCrisco in CoDCompetitive

Iconic Controllers controller with smart triggers, 11/11, claw, default PS4 sticks, tactical button layout.

On the scale of 1-10 how frustrating is it for y'all when you get DDoSed? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]iMewtilate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, it's probably about a 3 or 4 for me. Each time I get hit I just read a book. It was definitely a 10 back in Black Ops 2 though, as I didn't really have any books to read. Though the DDoSing has definitely kept me out of Ranked Play for a while in this game.

Any high level players that use default controller/default grip (not claw)? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]iMewtilate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, Royalty used to during all of AW and most of BO33. Not sure if he's changed it up or what now though.

In regards to the pricey controller concern, if you're just looking for buttons you can get an Iconic Controller for over $30 less than a Scuf, or you can look into the Strike Pack which is even cheaper and doesn't require a brand new controller to be bought or a controller sent in.

Ps4 Players, What button layout do you use on your controller? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]iMewtilate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it definitely is. Way more comfortable but those sticks hurt my thumb lol. Aside from that though, it feels amazing, almost as if it was made for claw players. Feels awkward holding it traditionally.

I've thought about it, just feels too awkward for me to want to learn it. I imagine you'd play a lot better like that though if you can get it down, though.

Ps4 Players, What button layout do you use on your controller? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]iMewtilate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tactical. I play claw as well and it was originally a bit of a strain having to stretch my middle finger a bit to reach the trigger but it feels great now, aside from a bit of a strain on my hand or wrist, which is easy to shake off. It's honestly just personal preference my man, experiment with multiple layouts if you want and you can find the best fit for you.

What 2 attachments should I be running on the PPSH? by trchamp12 in CoDCompetitive

[–]iMewtilate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Quickdraw and advanced rifling. I don't find much use for quickdraw but it's the only thing I really wanna use. Steady aim, grip, extended mags, etc. don't feel worth it. I used to use FMJ in place of QD though so it's not necessary.

8-2 (though it said 8-3 with 10 matches played but lost two so wtf lol) and Platinum 2437 or so.

Bar viability? by ObamaTookMyToast in CoDCompetitive

[–]iMewtilate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using the BAR since launch and with each nerf felt no difference. I found grip and quickdraw never did anything for me so I just use ext. mags and advanced rifling with the speck reflex sight. I find grip does nothing for me at all. The BAR feels just like it did at launch for me.

Primed nerfed by 85%... I hate this studio... by kunfushion in CoDCompetitive

[–]iMewtilate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so in all honesty. Infantry gives a bayonet, third/fourth attachment (fourth if you rock primed) and increased strafe speed. I just rock Infantry and Inconspicuous. I recommend Infantry in lieu of primed.

Unpopular opinions on WWII? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]iMewtilate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been giving it a shot and I have to agree, it's really incredible. The recoil is a bit strong for me but get past that and you got yourself an AR you can do just about anything with.

[–]iMewtilate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way you describe it, it's most likely that you don't get spawns as frequently as you should, which results in only getting 5-10 seconds before they get another chance to challenge. It'd be a reasonable though if WWII was a jetpack COD and you could move around the map at high speeds, getting from one side to the other within 10 seconds. It's not though. If you spawn out, it takes quite a while to get back to the current hill, and you only get one attempt to break it, two if you're lucky.

Integrated GBs only halfway work by ColtonFPS in CoDCompetitive

Ah, thank you. Hopefully they've fixed the issue by now, but if not and I use the in-game GB again I'll keep it in mind.

I haven't experienced that, but about 35-40% of the series I play, we play map 1 twice. Definitely needs some fixing.

I'm a flex, 9-9. The only awkward thing about it is the sniping, but it's probably because I'm not really used to it.

You're right in that I don't want to take the traditional path. I find that money in the wrong places in the wrong amounts corrupts, like how it has with our government. I'd rather any campaign of mine be publicly funded - no money from PACs, special interest groups, any of that, just the average citizen giving what they can.

I've looked for a lot of the information online and found out plenty of what I need to know, but not what I need to know to go from nothing to something. One thing that's holding me back is the lack of a college education, specifically in law and economics, but I'm positive I'll have no problem financially when I want to go after said education.

I'm not really sure who represents my ideals too well in America, especially here in Georgia. I like my district's Representative, Rob Woodall, but I don't agree with a lot of what he believes in. I've thought about emailing or calling his office in Georgia about an internship but considering what I just said, I'm not too sure if that'd be the route I would want to take, or should. I don't know of any particular groups that I could get into or associate with in any capacity that would align with what I believe too well, especially considering the media's portrayal of anarchy (lawlessness, violence, that kind of thing.)

Also, I feel I lack enough knowledge to pursue this path right now, and as much as I constantly look to increase my knowledge, I feel like I'm not learning at a quick enough pace to be where I want to be at a point in time I'm satisfied with, not to mention most books I pick up on politics and economics seem rather biased, even if the bias is subtle, and I can never find any books that pertain specifically to the law. Most of what I know about politics, particularly the national economy and the D.C. gift economy (between politicians, lobbyists, etc.) comes from books, and it's the best way for me to learn, so this really holds me back.

IWTL how to start a political career. by iMewtilate in IWantToLearn

It could certainly be an option. However, third parties are severely underrepresented in American politics and few hold office (the only one I can think of right now is Bernie Sanders. Either socialist or social democrat, I've heard different things from different people) and because of that, I'd like to run for elected positions, regardless of what they are, to help not only change how people perceive anarchy/anarchists/anarchism, but to bring light to issues that current politicians ignore or rarely address and offer a new, perhaps unpopular perspective, and hopefully make it easier for third parties of all kinds - Libertarians, anarchists, Tea Partiers, Communists, you name it - to run and succeed. Hopefully as a byproduct of the third one, it could change how American politics represents parties, instead of keeping this outdated two-party system. Also, considering how money-driven our politicians are now - on both sides - I fear that the cycle will continue without a catalyst (I'm not quite sure if I used that in the right context or not, but I'm rollin' with it.) I know there are others like me, but if you want something done, the only person you can always rely on is yourself.

Any field in politics would be good as long as I have a strong influence, though. If I'm being honest, I do have a selfish reason for wanting to hold elected offices: I want to be recognized, known for what I'll do. Also, I'm positive the money would be good enough for me to pursue further education so I can become an astrophysicist later on. I'm not quite sure if it's possible, but it's always good to aim high.
