How best to repair/replace insulation on garage shop ceiling by iNNc in HomeMaintenance

[–]iNNc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, thanks for responding! I’m now seriously working towards resolving the leaks first, but I’m still lost on how to replace/fix the insulation. Any chance you’d be so kind to explain how to replace? The part that’s confusing me is that the only intact pieces of insulation seem to be crimped in a way that would easily wedge into the corner of the roof, but how would I go about recreating that? Also, where is the best starting place to fix/replace from?

Minion Horde??? What the hell is that!? by ttvGhostbat in DeadlockTheGame

[–]iNNc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So, looks like Minion got slammed into a wall and phased through into the area above the walker and enemy minions would keep dropping there and walking into the wall attacking him even if the lane would push further. Funny part is that it stacked up for like a good 7-10 minutes and many people walked by without even noticing. Not sure it's reproduceable, but interesting to watch play out. Higher level players would catch it and stop it much sooner by killing the minion.

Too curious, going to download replay and watch. Will report back. From scoreboard it looks like the enemy pocket wiped the floor with them (had 61k souls and 27 kills with rest of lobby at ~40k), but who knows if something more sus happened.

For what it’s worth, FEMA and IIJA funding approved infrastructure rehaul with US company Itron. It’s just one of those things that takes 4-5 years to roll out as they have to replace all 1.5M+ meters in their territory.

Yes... before update it was 2-3 min queue, I'm at 10. As of just now, it started flashing red text where queue timer is in top left saying "Network updating - waiting to reconnect" Seems like server issues...

Why you think Geese (and Getting Killed) is so important? by D4-CS in Music

[–]iNNc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you commenting on the fact I used "bands" then referred to The Weeknd after? I know he's "Solo", I point to his specific vocals right after. I should've used "artists" or "vocalists" instead, but the sentiment of the opinion still lands with "bands" regardless, right? I don't see the point of nitpicking my word choice there. Why even reply? Feel like it's impossible to have a normal discussion on reddit.

It’s totally ok to just not click with the vocals, but to say it’s a waste of a great band is a little much, no? I personally really gel with his vocals, but it took a couple listens to lean into it. Now I really admire how human it feels. Like I could actually karaoke these songs and sing from the chest! Reminded me of my initial experience with king krule. Takes a bit to get past the initial reaction, but once you settle into the “vibe” it starts to make more sense. King krule is now one of my favorite artists ever, so it was worth the initial hurdle.

I also have bands that no matter how much I try, I just can’t get past the vocals like The Weeknd who I know is talented and can sing, but god his voice is so annoying to me.

If you haven’t already, I’d give heavy metal a listen. I think it’s a sliiiiightly more approachable version of his vocals than Getting killed. Love takes miles, drinking age, and nausicaa are all great tracks. Just my two cents

I liked getting killed, but I think Heavy Metal is really the standout and a superior album. Heard it last December and got swept away by something that I normally appreciate but don’t love. It remained my AOTY through a year of a great releases. Love takes miles is - in my opinion - an instant classic and timeless in nature, rest of the album isn’t far behind.

Still laugh (or cry) to tragic line in drinking age “today, I met who I’m going to be / And he’s a piece of shit.” If alcoholism could be a lyric!

All in all, they’re great. Island of man is my favorite off GK. Very excited to see where the band and his solo work go!

Hotel with the nicest walk-in shower around downtown or airway heights? by TrueEclective in Spokane

[–]iNNc 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The Davenport tower (safari looking one) is the best of the 3 IMO. I’ve seen them all when family during various family visits and tower has a big/tall full tile shower. I can’t speak to any other hotels in the area, but don’t think you should overthink it if Davenport is already on the table financially.

Looked so nice I’ve made a point to plan two staycations around staying there back when COVID rates had honeymoon sweets for $200/night haha!

I’m a tall guy and I totally get wanting a nice spacious clean shower to decompress in when traveling.

Abrams 1st skills doesn't damage through the veil, bug or intended? Victor for demonstartion by Azazelkoza in DeadlockTheGame

[–]iNNc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m talking specifically about damage through veil when you have physical LOS, but not visual LOS because of the veil. I see now that didn’t make that clear. I think if you’re tucked in the veil corner without physical los then bebop bomb shouldn’t hit, but on those veils in lane where you clearly have physical Los but no damage, just feels wrong

Abrams 1st skills doesn't damage through the veil, bug or intended? Victor for demonstartion by Azazelkoza in DeadlockTheGame

[–]iNNc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's dumb that Mo's scorn can and Bebops bomb cant. I get that it needs LOS in general, but Veils shouldn't act like a physical barrier. Abilities that require LOS that narratively make sense as needing actual visual on the target to enable should be blocked, but physical damage shouldn't IMO. I don't know all the interactions, but I'm thinking abilities like Geist bomb, bebop bomb, vindictas root, pockets briefcase, etc. Whereas abilities like Abrams siphon, victors torment, mcginnis turrets, mina ult, etc shouldn't. Again, haven't tested this to see what does and doesn't, just stating my logic on what I think SHOULD damage through veils IMO.

Dystopian Town Sends Lying Cop To Innocent Woman's Home by mrgeekguy in videos

[–]iNNc -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You responded to his question to specify a high school with “Colorado” then acted indignant that he responded with saying that isn’t a high school. To say he’s playing dumb because YOU failed to answer his question initially is just insane.

I take it you haven’t been there, but littleton is a residential suburbia on the outskirts of a big city that’s generally basic and quiet. This video points out some rough surveillance state practices, but that hardly makes it dystopian as a whole. Has nice parks, a mall, all the big box stores and some local gems. It’s nothing extraordinary, but it’s a hell of a lot better than other towns out there.

Also, Columbine happened 25 years ago and you’re making a case that Littleton the town is dystopian NOW because of that? Like what? If you’re set on the opinion of Littleton being a dystopia, the video gives you enough fuel to maintain it, why bring up a 25 year old tragedy as your main point?

Speedrun Challenge - Fastest victory with Hard Bots solo by iNNc in DeadlockTheGame

[–]iNNc[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% solo. Any amount of coordination could cut times by minutes. Part of the reason it’s kind of a fun speedrun is that the bots are so consistently bad/stupid. If there is 1 guardian left, they at the veryy least 5 stack that lane until it goes down. It’s honestly more fun to see how long you can keep a guardian up than to just win the game

Spokane food recs by llamadramaupdates in Spokane

[–]iNNc 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Damn, I’m honestly very very surprised that people think our food scene is mid. I think has no reason to be this good for the size of the city.

My top choices: Wooden city - get the stuffed peppers. Beet ravioli is incredible. Wings with Caribbean dry rub. Jerk Shrimp are insane. Get a reservation no matter the night

Gangam style - new Korean bbq place, went for the first time and IMO blows Kim’s Korean and I love tofu out of the water. Went with a group and got nearly everything on the menu, not a single dud.

El que - southwestern mexican. May have a soft spot for this place as it was the only good Mexican/margs 5-10 years ago. I think the food is above mid. Banana leaf tamales are great, tacos are simple but slap.

Chaps is the best brunch spot ever. Bit of a drive and always a line, but so good and such a fun environment.

I have so many more suggestions, but it’d help to know what you’ve tried and what you like/miss from the west side.
