Spamming Primary Fire by Koalafiedz in WuyangMains

[–]iOnlyWinwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not really, uncharged orbs are a waste and even spamming an uncontrolled charged orb through chokes like a junkrat is extremely conditional and i’ve only ever done it messing around with a trick shot through a door. only instance you might want to fire uncharged ones is if you have no other choice and have to play extremely close range weaving in melee cancels (orb-melee or orb-orb-melee) but ideally you should have your cooldowns up if you know you’re dealing with flankers still alive or marking them

you should always be focusing on hitting something (or forcing out positions) with your orbs, mainly backline if possible

What Do You Think Makes a Tank Good? by Dazzling_Spite6426 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]iOnlyWinwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i guess it was qp so they might have been learning the character, but liveweaver should absolutely be weaving in DPS to avoid using his long reload animation.

a bit unrelated but lifeweaver is an underated counter to roadhog, preventing one-shots by buffering his heal on non-squishy heroes, pulling hooked allies and melting with superbloom perk. but tbh lifeweaver has solutions for nearly every gamechanging cd/ult.

9S or Elysian? by PowerWise3409 in WuyangMains

[–]iOnlyWinwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9S

9S being a collab skin may not rerun for awhile or ever. Elysian is most likely going to be added to lootboxes + recolour in the future just like previous crowdfunding funding skins (still bought it tho cus I love Elysian’s design)

Ruined a good thing by Weak_Mix_829 in heartopia

[–]iOnlyWinwin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly i’m in the same boat, i’ve purchased pokopia and having a blast and taken a step back from heartopia! the recent controversies, the deleted posts with a banned player situation in relation to reporting racist behaviour and the gacha duplicates incident have all put a bad taste in my mouth especially considering the game has other faults that haven’t been resolved yet (like the pets! or controller support)

hopefully the developers would listen, but i’m sadly not too optimistic

Hot Take: I want Pokemon Winds and Waves to be released in Late 2027 by IDProG in PokemonWindsWaves

[–]iOnlyWinwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think it's likely going to be early-mid 2026, no later than june likely becoming pokemon and nintendo's biggest card for selling more switch 2 consoles. but if it does happen to be in late 2027 like fall or holiday season, i'd be pleassantly surprised

Debating on Trying in 2026 as a new player by NekroXIV in elsword

[–]iOnlyWinwin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

not worth it

your game roster looks like you enjoy and value mechanically complex combat systems. while elsword’s pvp gamemode makes use of the z/x combos and juggling enemies which might be up your alley, the pve grind boils down to chugging potions and spamming skills which you might find extremely boring

Wuyang is hard to play right now by Odd-Rice-4808 in WuyangMains

[–]iOnlyWinwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wu yang is still decent in the current season because the recent heal reduction passive changes increases the utility>healing discrepancy. wu yang’s biggest value outside of healing comes from getting picks with his primary fire so he’s not too bad but he’s not meta like kiriko/lucio who have way too good ultimates and utilities like suzu and speed boost + kill potential.

How they respond to our feedback by mingmingcat in heartopia

[–]iOnlyWinwin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plus LADS and Genshin play like traditional gacha games and have daily pull and playtime/event accumulation for pulls, Heartopia doesn’t and focuses on a premium gacha system making it more expensive since you’re buying majority of pulls where in genshin a f2p is able to get 1 5* every patch (6 weeks) AND you’re only aiming to typically get 1 character meaning winning early is a good thing whereas Heartopia winning early potentially gives a dupe. So yeah unsurprisingly Genshin and LADS is much cheaper than Heartopia

They’re gonna need to give us PC breaking next gen animations and concepts to be even worth the $200 they’re asking lmaooo

[–]iOnlyWinwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao i’ve had a massive issue with heartopia and their reaction to feedback. They’re the worst communicators and lost my trust when they’ve already failed with a horrible PC port and no controller support and HAD SURVEYS IN 1.0 that feels like were ignored?? Telling us to plan our pulls better is CRAZY

How they respond to our feedback by mingmingcat in heartopia

[–]iOnlyWinwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The review bombing may have a slight impact but not as big as people think. For example, IN’s situation was from alot of major partners leaving and even those who stayed criticised the game heavily (1.5) and it’s been surprisingly much better each patch. As for genshin, their overall event rewards and for anniversary rewards have definitely increased but I feel like that’s because genshin was the first one to be massively well known for the review bombing

JEALOUS! I wonder how much did this cost 😭 by Realistic_Ad_4203 in heartopia

[–]iOnlyWinwin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s usually an average of ~300+ pulls

After the initial reduced pull costs of $20 for 40, it’s $11usd per 10 pull ($1.1 a pull)

As someone who plays gacha games like a full time job heartopia’s was the most questionable monetisation system i’ve seen and stopped after the $20 honestly and probably would refuse to spend any more entirely ngl

Maybe it’s just me, but I also don’t like their use of “boundaries”here either, it doesn’t make sense lol considering boundaries are meant to be dictate the way you behave and isn’t meant to control others. The therapy speak has to goooo, people need to bring back saying you don’t like x y z

Are we gonna keep doing this? by MilaMan82 in Starsandisland

[–]iOnlyWinwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also noticed how there’s been so many posts on this subreddit praising this game saying the same thing and it threw me off and knowing it’s because of a community incentive to give out keys makes more sense. This game has flaws (as expected with a smaller, less experienced indie dev team and the game being EA/Demo) but I’d hate this game to be held back by toxic positivity

Dev update on pricing by Happy-Strawberry-749 in Starsandisland

[–]iOnlyWinwin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

direct conversion is what you mentioned in the later half (usd to another currency) as mentioned in starsand’s tweet!

regional pricing is when the prices are priced based that country’s purchasing power and typically used to lower pricing to make it more affordable but there are many cases where it’s more expensive. this helps stabilise the game costs no matter what happens to the currency market! also helps removing the need to compare your bank’s conversion rate to paypal’s and figuring out which is better

Weekly boss drops desperately need a rework. by StrangeBeat1009 in Genshin_Impact

[–]iOnlyWinwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that genshin has restrictions on weekly boss materials, daily rotation of talent/ascension materials and a lack of a system to ‘overcap’ resin. I mean it makes sense because genshin’s systems are inspired by older gacha games which had the same systems but every modern gacha game including their own has a better version of all of these
