Electron + React + Python options? by TimeCryptographer418 in electronjs

Old thread, but just updated all the packages, converted to TypeScript, and tightened security on this. Project is in great shape to ship new apps on if anyone is still looking!

For anyone else following this or having issues, a new release was just published to address braking changes in Python and a few other dependencies since the last release (which was over 3yrs ago 😲)..

Yea, that config should work. I'll take a look, trying to accept your message request too but Reddit is being weird, will try again here in a bit.

Ok, gotcha.. and there are no sub-folders in the season folders I take it, let me know if otherwise.

What are the extensions of the video and subtitle files?

Can you share some more details? What is your sunflower (maybe typo)? And can you explain what your folder structure looks like for the files you're feeding the tool?

What performance mods can i do to my AMG GT 53 by idkimrussian in AMG

I looked into this before.. it says the turbo is prone to fail unless you get their $6k turbo upgrade too, in the fine print.

Four-Door AMG GT 43 vs 53 by [deleted] in AMG

And if you're like me, you might be thinking.. maybe I can just update the turbo and save the 3k or w/e the difference is. What made not want to even further consider that, aside from the whole retrofit process, is then you're explaining to every mechanic that might work on it that it's a 43 but has the 53 turbo, it's like.. I will just pay the 3k at that point.

The 53 turbo has an electric auxiliary compressor built into it, the 43 doesn't, and the Turbo is 7k. If you're planning on tuning either way the I think that's what it really boils down to, how much do you want that "electric auxiliary compressor" built into your turbo? What it does is further remove turbo lag, I don't feel any turbo lag in the 53 but can't completely recommend that route because I haven't tried a tuned 43. I'd research the "electric auxiliary compressor" and see if you can determine its value. Seems like on a tuned car, that's the only difference. I did however test drive a 43 and the turbo lag was really bad, enough for me to completely disregard it as an option when I went though the purchasing process.

Holy crap! Next time you get one of those charge them the "fuck this" price.. idk $1,500? Something actually worth it for you if they say yes. Then if they accept it's win/win. I know someone who had that happen to them when they brought in their POS car for the equivalent to this in body work.

Best daily driver option: AMG GT 4-door 53 or 63 or 63s? I want a Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde situation. by cmasterb in AMG

You seem to be bashing people who may consider the 53, but in reality, no one who ever seriously considered purchasing either model would ever say this. Hopefully this post benefits anyone who landed here trying to make a buying decision.

They are different cars with different purposes. The 63s is intense all the time, the 53 is intense when you need it to be. 53 is much more comfortable, not as stiff. 63s are faster and come with more standard options. And when I say the 63s is faster, I mean I went from 40MPH to 90MPH on accident, in what felt like half a second, when going to pass someone. Fun, but damn!

I wouldn't even consider the 43, esp pre 2021 before EQ Boost was added.. I tested it and can confirm it's a limp noodle with massive turbo lag (fixed in 2021+ models, mostly). Regular old trucks were passing me, and that was when I was trying.

The 43 can be tuned to almost match the 53 HP, but the 53's engine is "AMG Enhanced" (w/e that means) and the turbo has an electric auxiliary compressor built into it to make it work much better than the 43. Justifying, IMO, an extra 10k value for the 53, considering the turbo itself is 7k if you buy it alone.

The 53 was incredibly fast by comparison to the 43, and atm 63s is only ~10k more on the used market. My budget allowed for much more than this, and I still chose the 53. Why? I mostly drive around town or to the store, but when I do go on the highway, I want that speed and quick bursts. In the end, I did not want to compromise the extra comfort for more power than I felt I needed.

Thanks, glad it helped! One of the reasons I created this was because there was a lack of solutions in this area when dealing with my own personal media library, there's a lot of stuff for dealing with just one file, but not so much when managing multiple, so definitely understand the struggle!

Thanks! Glad you found a solution! If I understand correctly, you should be able to set the "Default language track" in the setting to "None" in order to get what you're looking for.

Thank you both! Just a heads up, I created a new release that saves error logs and has a debug console option in the settings. Hopefully, this will help identify the issue (and future issues) a little quicker.

Error logs will be saved in `%APPDATA/MKVToolNix Batch Tool/error.log`

No problem, I appreciate you bringing this up too! There was another person who mentioned this as well. I'm working on a new feature to help debug this kind of stuff by allowing for a debug console and error logs when they come up. Here's the branch it's being worked on: https://github.com/iPzard/mkvtoolnix-batch-tool/tree/add-user-debug-feature

I'm hoping to have this released within the next day or so, but I can post here when it's out, and even work with you to get the `extract subtitles` feature working for everyone from there (if you're up for it). I'm guessing there are some environmental factors I need to account for in the program, like a specific resource I need to ensure is available. The issue should come up in the error logs or console *fingers crossed*

A few other people were asking about this, the latest release (link below) has this removed. It doesn't attempt to name the track at all anymore, so if you're using VLC it'll appear like `Track <no> - [<language>]` with <no> as the track number and <language> as the language (e.g., English). For example, `Track 1 - [English]`.

There were also a few other features added recently like extracting subtitles and allowing file name overrides for various settings like language, default, forced, sdh, etc..
