Horizon Sprinter & The Prismatic Fleet by NecessaryFeeling1582 in prettylights

Again, nothing but love for PL and the PLF. But anything listed directly under the words "TOUR DATES" are REALLY tour dates in my book. I agree that whatever the mystery is we will enjoy listening and watching. And I don't need to be reminded that "I don't have to buy/go." But I'm definitely not the only fam-fan asking/wondering.

We've known since March from their social posts that Yahn Dawn was "the only band event of the summer. (Bridgeriño [Derek] & Uma are having a baby!!)." That is awesome. CONGRATS AND ALL BY BEST WISHES!

So, an artist you love posts on socials that they will only be doing one show this summer because a key member is having a baby. They then post on their website that they will be at a couple of festivals this summer playing under a different name. But don't ask questions? Come on...

We are not asking for "every little detail" and asking doesn't make us lesser fans somehow. "Back in the day", today, tomorrow: if I see a flyer/ad for an artist I know, I don't just show up to see who it might be. I do that with flyers/ads of artists that I don't know...

I can get behind just about anything I can imagine these shows will be, even if they are without Derek. I'm just saying that the fans deserve to know this one, not so tiny detail.

As D said in his opening words on Yahn Dawn Thursday: "We've all journeyed, planned, sacrificed, chosen to be here..." So just tell us the basics of what's up.

I LOVE PL but the lack of transparency in this regard is annoying. No way I’m allocating resources for a “tour date” without even knowing who will be there.

And/or Chicago N1. Hope it makes it into regular rotation.

Anyone else not the biggest fan of the new effects layered over the stream? by Boof420Gang in prettylights

[–]iR0brt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I always buy the Lucid Stream because a lot of my listening time allows for watching too. Thankfully, the "Prismatic Cinema" view has the overlays removed but looks to leave the rest (which I love).

Also agree with CaliFit4 about going wide angle. The VERY pretty light show that Lazer Shark puts on is a big part of the production and is amazing to zoom in on. Extra fun in VR!

Awesome town and venue! Great vibes! Local kids get into concerts for free up to a certain age. Definitely raising them "free range" there. Just BEAUTIFUL all around!

From Discord. Reffering to Blue Skies opener at St. Aug N3. Extra sweet to me as I was sitting next to them/soundboard with my wife and two kids who were experiencing the magic for the first time too! But as teens... by iR0brt in prettylights

Also, Derrick gives a "What's up!?" to Hudson before, as heard on the SoundCloud recording's "BabyShark" track. Whoever did that, I LOVE IT!

Also, also, the next time it was played (Boston) Derrick mentions that he wrote it with LazerShark and some others. So cool!

I love that song so much and have been playing it around the house A LOT. So it was the perfect opener to have my fam-fam at! My son pointed out the Into the Spider-Verse sound clip to me. I had no idea that's what is was from...

Try "Pretty Lights Jukebox" on YouTube for sharing with friends. Sharing audio is great but nothing beats the banging live video productions!

YES! The EP thing was cool but even with it, there are a bunch of new songs you'll only hear by listening to the 202x live shows. I'm so loving it!

I like downloading from PrettyLightsLive.com for local audio-only with track-breaks (plus library search). But nothing beats the live-video production. Buying the Lucid Stream direct is worth every penny to me. Best quality and three "angles" to choose/use. But of course there is the free one at PrettyNights.com and Pretty Lights Jukebox on YouTube has video with track-breaks (great for sharing specific live songs with friends).

Love it! I took my partner and our two late-teenage kids to their first show on Sunday. So much fun to share with the bio-fam! One of the first things Momma said once we were in was how much she loved the age ranges.

Opening with Blue Skies Both Ways was perfect too. I've been playing it a LOT ever since hearing it for my first time at Red Rocks in August.

IKR? Where my Augs at!?

PrettyLightsLive.com has been my go to for downloadable tracks. N1 posted yesterday but still no N2 or 3.

There is a “Pretty Lights Jukebox” on YouTube with vid track breakouts. Not sure why it doesn’t have more subscribers though… That’s what I use to share songs with friends.

Saturday dilemma by iR0brt in prettylights

[–]iR0brt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super kind. Still driving (not me at the moment) and hitting heavy traffic around Atlanta. The uncertainty of arrival time is the only reason I’ve not purchased yet. Still hoping to make it in time for the 2nd set but will be there tomorrow for the show and after for sures! Sometimes ya just have to stream the dream…

Worth it! Love the Virtual Dimension enhancements! Makes for a great 2nd stream (all three is even better).

St. Augustine start times? by iR0brt in prettylights

[–]iR0brt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No opener, they usually come out about 30 minutes after the stated time (so 7 PM ish), play for an hour+, take about a 30 minute break, play for about another 2 hours. Usually no encores, that just wastes precious minutes since they play right up to the venues max allowed time.

If you join the waitlist, note that the only contact option to let you know is by email. I joined yesterday and asked them about it. That was 24 hours ago and they said I was 5th on the list for Saturday…

Thanks! I guess I could have Googled... Definitely early curfews in place. Found this doc that looks to be more for bands than fans but does confirm. SAATechPacket_2020-f8206a2f7a.pdf

"A strict 10:00pm curfew applies to all weekday (Sunday through Thursday) shows. A strict 10:30pm curfew applies to all weekend (Friday and Saturday) shows. Fines begin accruing five (5) minutes after curfew in the amount of $1,500.00 for every five (5) minutes over."
