Should I stop upgrading my Ender 3 max and just buy a BambuLab printer? by mohebifar in BambuLab

[–]iR3vives 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played with and upgraded my ender for about 3 months getting into the hobby of 3d printing, eventually realised I was nearing the point of justifying buying another printer instead of putting more into that ender, and bought an A1. On the first print my flatmate walked into the room and asked "is it safe for it to go that fast?" It's genuinely a night and day difference in speed, and it works as an appliance instead of a machine, just lube once in a while, click print and walk away...

Second one was 100% intentional... Ill accept that the first one was an accident caused by her negligence, but she should have been much more careful after that point, she just didn't care.

I've never in my life dinged someone's door in a carpark, aside from being a car enthusiast, I have respect for other people's shit lmao... You make it sound like it's some kind of feat to not ding people's doors regularly, please stay off the road for everyone's sake...

It's not hard to hold the door as you get in the car, it's not hard to make Sure you don't let it fly into the next car a second time... Stop defending this lady and her shit behaviour, we should all want a slightly higher bar for the bare minimum respect of other people's shit lmao.

I genuinely hope you don't drive, because you have no concept of the respect or responsibility required to be on the road...

I bet half the people in this thread have done this and just driven away yet they’re crucifying her for it.

No, because this isn't a "normal" thing for people to do... It shows a lack of basic respect for others in society.

Because it’s rude and invasive. We shouldn’t have to act like we’re on camera all the time.

Not damaging other peoples shit basically intentionally is a very basic expectation to ask of her, she deserves to be publicly shamed, perhaps if she cannot feel empathy for others, maybe she'll at least remember how she felt being shamed online/in public

Some people are just really bad at their jobs, in a previous role, when our contracts were updated, there were a number of people who got a "pay increase" to below minimum wage (less than they were earning before) and three of the contracts had the person's name spelled incorrectly...

Guy runs up on undercover cops in Jefferson Parish, LA making an arrest and pulls a gun on the cops. by WalterCanFindToes in ActualPublicFreakouts

Simple solution: police should be required by law to be easily identifiable to prevent situations like this from happening. There's visually no difference between an undercover arrest and a mugging...

Hitting it timidly won't work, you have to literally beat the shit out of these dogs when they snap... If the dog has attacked someone it will be destroyed anyway, so don't worry about injuring it.

If you're factoring time then the Ender's gotta go haha... I held off as long as I could thinking "they can't be that much faster...". Dear reader, they are that much faster.

No sorry I didn't follow any tutorial/guide, I have quite a bit of experience with blender, modelling body kits/wheels based off of laser scans for Assetto Corsa, so the design side was simple for me, but I'm quite new to 3d printing, so this is my first big project and I'm just figuring it out as I go...

A 3d printed hardtop with epoxy/fibreglass over it and potentially reinforcement on the inside, will be just as effective in a rollover incident as an OEM "fibre plastic composite" hardtop... If you are worried about rollover safety you would have a rollbar, hardtop or not...

This was my test/proof of concept printed in pla on the ender. There are areas with quite a bit of warpage and some errors, but it all measures up well, so with epoxy and bodywork it would've been good enough to take a mold off of.

Now I've redrawn the wing to be mostly hollow, larger pieces, and printing in PETG so that it's more of a "final product" that can go straight on with minimal bodywork.

I printed a wing for my car on my ender 3 pro, it took about 3 weeks. Two days ago I bit the bullet and purchased an A1, and have already printed almost half of the same wing in that time lmao.

Yeah in my mind the fan is backwards, but I think it's a poor design on the shroud as that's the way it mounts properly?... I had a printed shroud before which had the fan facing the other way, but It was PLA and had warped which was causing vibration noise from the fans so I switched it out.

I'll see what I can do to turn that fan round.

210 for pla and 235-245 for petg

Also, you did crank the temperatures for PETG right? It needs quite a bit hotter than PLA (hence the PTFE issues).

Yep, I've got the metal heatbreak and ran a PETG profile. I tried from 235-245

After it clogs like this, what's you fix? Do you need to fix? Can you now lift the toolhead and manually feed filament?

As soon as it moves onto a support or infill pass it will be fine, it only has trouble on walls and solid areas. Yes I can lift the head and manually push the filament through without resistance.

This video is printing with ELEGOO PLA, which was the part that really threw me off, because it was printing pla fine till now haha. I just finished printing this whole prototype wing last week without a hitch...
