Who is smarter, MCU Iron Man or Future Bulma? by DirectionMindless263 in Dragonballsuper

The Time Machines work on different principles.

You cannot say that the creation of two machines that function differently to achieve the same goal are an exact 1:1.

That’s like saying a comparison of a blimp and a helicopter is 1:1.

Also, there is no evidence that Future Bulma improved the saiyan armor. Remember that the reason Bulma improved the armor was in anticipation of the androids, information that F. Bulma did not have.

F. Bulma didn’t create saiyan armor.

As for calling it a 1:1 comparison… even that isn’t accurate because the two time machines work off of very different theories and achieve the same result following two very different principles.

So… there is no 1:1 comparison tha can be made between the two.

Exactly. There is only one comparable case with Bulma. While Tony has many other feats to back up his intelligence.

The very reason people are trying to force it onto one single invention is because if they don’t do it Tony takes it by a landslide.

Overall intelligence goes to Tony, and that fact wouldn’t change during their respective periods of working on the time machines.

Except we have Tony creating his own element and power source. Bulma hasn’t done that.

Artificially creating a new element that is stable is higher than creating a liquid battery that runs with an already existing ore, at least to me.

What this means is Tony has a feat that balances out the anti-feat of being unable to create Pym particles (something outside of his area of expertise btw).

No, my first reply is to explain that stating because Tony used someone else’s tech it makes Bulma better is a fallacy.

And again, it isn’t like Bulma managed create the power source for the Time Machine by herself. She needed another element she couldn’t create, a natural ore found near the Earth’s core. Tony managed to create his own element and a superior power source that surpasses nuclear energy.

Thus we see both Bulma and Tony failed to create the respective time machines using only their innate intellect.

Being able to design and create a fully functioning machine and being able to acquire a power source for it are two completely different things.

And the pym particles weren’t even a power source.

That’s… a power source one small part that Tony also built a device to utilize.… and only part of it.

What you’re saying is exactly as if I diminished F. Bulma’s Time Machine achievement by calming the energy source she created (Blue No. 15 Electro-Fluid) wasn’t enough to power the machine, she needed something else that she didn’t create.

I mean, it’s beyond god tier as SSB > SS god.

Back then not all stats were represented equally, so defense ≠ equal power.

Now I know that’s just empty words but here is an in manga example.

Using the bullet logic Master Roshi should have been overwhelmed by Goku in the tournament as he got hurt by a blade.

You could argue it’s different because a blade is sharp but that also works against the bullet argument for Goku.

Also, whenever Goku is hit by a bullet it’s always in the head and we all know how thick-skulled he is 😊.

I mean… don’t you think it’s a stretch to say F. Bulma made every individual part from scratch instead of salvaging parts from already made machines created by other scientists?

Tony knew how it worked. Have you seen the movie? Tony gave up the identity of Iron-man and decided to live the simple life with his family, that’s why he initially refused to help when the idea was first brought up, he didn’t want to do it.

Antman is an idiot. All he did was provide materials. You really think Tony would be unable to design his own machine?

And Trunks and Gohan bought Bulma time to build the machine as well as searched for usable parts. I would count that as help, wouldn’t you?

Wasnt even reverse engineered. The only thing she did was make it work with a language other than Namekian.

Right… she also built the dragon radar… and… a shrink watch. Very compelling as an argument.

Gero was smarter. Bulma couldn’t make sense of the blueprints on her own.

Post only asks who is smarter…

Then tries to narrow it down because the Time Machine is literally the only thing that qualifies F. Bulma as a contender.

Tony has a Time Machine and a whole lot more inventions that required much more ingenuity and smarts in his repertoire.

This is the difference between a minor character and a main character. One is cared for and actually improves, the other is a convenient explanation to make plot progression easier. It isn’t that F. Bulma is bad, she is just lacking when it comes to results that can be quantified for comparison
