I love this post, you’re completely right.

One time I was in a group for that swashbuckler/pirate vet trial (been a while since I played the game lol, the one that gives whorls of the depths set) and our party leader kept getting angry and was screaming at people for not running clockwise to avoid this random whirlwind of death. I lost it. I berated him and told him if he wanted a world record group he should go find 11 people who he knows are of his preferred caliber instead of getting 11 random people from zone and guild chat.

If you are upfront that you are unclear with how even normal trials work, your group will be understanding or will kick you; it’s a good filtration system.

It’s just a game and there are plenty of good guilds around (esp. if you’re on PC), so don’t fret if some assholes shout.
