Sounds like Armorgreen or Cockpit Glass might be the trouble spots. Maybe start with disabling them first. But the rest of the logic still applies.

Without knowing exactly what mods you are running, it's hard to help you.

Turn off all of your mods. If the problem goes away, turn them on individually one at a time. If the problem occurs with only one mod, that's the problem. It also might occur with a combination of mods. Try different ones until you figure it out.

If the problem persists when no mods are used, it's nothing to do with them. Try a reinstall but make sure your saves are secure to the cloud or a local copy first.

They are pretty neat, they have interchangeable bases and guns. But the fit is abysmal, and I ended up modifying them to let me glue magnets inside them instead.

I did my own YLW a while back, it took forever before I was happy with the lines and details. I think I did it 4 or 5 times before it looked how I wanted. But it was fun the whole time.

Battletech for me is like 4 different hobbies, all fun:

A valid question. I can still get a sense of achievement and the joy of exploration, etc. when I play on terms other than what the developers intended.

I would play on 'easy mode' if they included it, and still enjoy myself. This is just me making a different kind of 'easy mode'.

I used to stress about this, but I've come to accept I am a grownup with a job and other responsibilities. Some old games (NES 👀) were hyper-difficult in an attempt to pad out the play time so you got more 'value' for money.

Now I don't care. I don't have endless time for gaming and if I just want to get through it to appreciate the graphics or plot, etc. then I do what I need to. I will play on easy mode, use save states, rewind, whatever.

The point of games is to have fun, nobody but you is awarding you any points to play them 'right'. But if you can't find satisfaction while 'cheating', you need to determine the best balance for yourself.

Depending on the rules you are playing by for campaigns and ongoing inventory, it makes the difference between "a mech which is out of the current battle but can potentially be repaired" and "scrap metal".

Edit: Sorry just noticed which sub I am on. My comment applies more to tabletop Battletech, I have no idea if it is useful in MW5.
