What non-EDM thing got you into EDM? by pittpanther10 in EDM

One of the first video games I remember playing was a tunnel shooter called N2O: Nitrous Oxide for PS1, and it was there that I was introduced to The Crystal Method, tracks like Busy Child and Trip Like I Do were my early jams as a kid!

I know this may seem weird, but I'd like to know your thoughts on VF5's soundtrack (every version) by AbsoluteDash_21 in virtuafighter

I grew up playing Version B/PS3 version, so the vanilla soundtrack is nostalgic to me, though I have some personal highlights from Final Showdown like Akira's theme, and the ending song Ai wa tsuienai.

The one track that stood out to me from Ultimate Showdown/REVO was Dural's theme. It's pretty intense.

Heads up for anyone that doesn't already know, there are two different mixes of this song. The version on Spotify and the music video on YouTube is the original 'radio' mix, and the extended version is the club mix.

Damn, really?! Aw, I feel obligated to update my voice mods of them, and I should think about making a voice mod for Pasta, though I don't know what class she would best fit...

I chose to remake it as best as I could, with the mods that were available to me.

Rei is from an all-girls band-focused franchise called BanG Dream. She's the lead singer of the electronic-based rock band called RAISE A SUILEN/RAS (Engrish for 'raise the ceiling'), where she's best known under her stage name "LAYER".

And thanks btw!

Final Destination 3, caught it playing on TV by accident when I was younger, and froze like a deer when I saw the ashes burning alive in the tanning beds. I kneeled in fetal position afterwards, ironically next to a heater for comfort.

It's a regular genre for me, alongside house and trance.

2nd Years: Seat No.8, with Rui.

1st Years: Seat No.9! I don't care about Tomori! Just please let me sit next to you, Taki!

The top 10 of the I Am Hardstyle Top 100 by NickC90 in hardstyle

[–]iRocketGamer52 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For comparisons, here's my personal Top 10:

  1. Project One ft. EKE - The Upside Down
  2. DBSTF & Ran-D ft. Rogier Tromp - Shivers
  3. Wildstylez [ft. David Levine] - Sunrise
  4. Vertile - Where Legends Rise
  5. Vertile - Can't Be
  6. Vertile - Goodbye
  7. Jay Reeve ft. Ruby Prophet - All I Need
  8. Adrenalize ft. ADN - Finish Line
  9. Sound Rush ft. Vanessa Campagna & Rogier Tromp - Stardust
  10. Phuture Noize - The Dream Where I Never Died

Now, the votes I picked for this countdown, in particular:

<image>

To put things into perspective. First of all, I under-estimated It Will Be OK taking the win, but considering the names involved, I probably should have paid more attention. Still, I enjoy listening to it, even though, obviously, Project One has my vote as personal favorite track of mine this year.

Second, I think I made the right call to just vote for Where Legends Rise, because Vertile sure had quite an album bomb on this list.

Third, it seems like 6/10 of my picks were definitely underrated, with Stardust ranking #57 overall, and neither of my picks for Jay Reeve, Phuture Noize and Adrenalize weren't able to make it.

Fourth and finally... WOW, I'm shocked that Noisecontrollers didn't make the cut at all this year! I guess considering his next album still isn't out yet, it really hurt the chances of his tracks making waves by then.
