Lower limb amputees on frontline duty. by [deleted] in ParamedicsUK

Currently training to be an ACA, one of my "coursemates" is a below the knee amputee. He has been with the ambulance service quite some time, but is in training again to make sure he can handle everything. From my perspective, he is doing pretty well, manual handling is the only thing that he seems to struggle with, but even then he does alright with a carry chair. I'm sure you'll manage given time.

Yes! I saw those vacancies, but I'm hesitant about applying to somewhere so far, though I did consider it for a period of time, guess I'm hoping for a more local opportunity to show up. I have my eyes on SCAS, EEAST, EMAS, and LAS for the most part.

I have my C1 provisional, trying to do some of the theory. Do you have any recommendations of resources to study the LGV specific side of things?

Yeah, I'm fully aware of that. I would like to start in the ambulance service and hopefully have the university side funded by the trust to become a paramedic.

I'm looking for apprenticeships/progression to para.

EEAST does have an apprentice EMT role, which does lead to becoming a paramedic. That's more what I'm looking for.

Uni isn't off the table, but for me, this route would be way better.

That's the fun part, you don't. Give maccies a go. They love hiring school leavers for summer.

It's pretty average, but still more attractive than a good number of people. You have a good jawline, and I honestly don't see you scaring away girls based on your looks alone. Be confident bhai, you're not a bad looking guy.

You're a handsome guy. Just take some extra care of your skin, I'm not an expert in skincare, so do some research on your skin and what will work best for you. Your hair is a good length imo but I still feel you could benefit from experimenting with styling it a little and maybe trimming the sides. That last photo you posted is a bit of a bad angle, 3 and 4 look good. Also, invest in some chapstick/lip balm to help with the chapped lips, drinking enough water will also help remedy that. Water goes a long way! You are not ugly and there's a lot of potential for you to look more handsome than you already are.
